Caveduck
An AI girlfriend site: what it offers, what people say, and the numbers.
I bought a Caveduck membership and tested it myself. Then I built a data-tracked profile of caveduck.io, refreshed monthly. Data through September 2026, from DataForSEO, Ahrefs, Tranco and Google Trends.

I bought a Caveduck membership and tested it myself, feature by feature. I’m an AI girlfriend enthusiast and a data researcher, and both shape every page on this site: my own test tells me what the product does, but I don’t grade Caveduck on my feel alone.
I weigh what its users publish, and I track it the way an analyst tracks a market, with a fixed set of indicators that show how big a platform is, whether it is growing or fading, and how it compares with every other AI girlfriend site I follow.
This page answers three questions in order: what you get, what people are saying, and what the numbers show. Part 1 comes from my own paid test and Caveduck’s feature list and pricing, Part 2 from the videos, Reddit threads and press I read in full, and Parts 3 and 4 from traffic and search data. That is also how I rank the best AI girlfriend sites: tested first-hand, then judged by what users say and by the numbers.
Part 1 · What it offers
What Caveduck offers
Caveduck (caveduck.io) is an adult AI girlfriend platform: you create or pick a companion and talk to it. I bought a membership and tested it myself; this is what it offers, and Part 2 is what users say about each part of it.
- Features
- Free tier with character access, Extensive anime character library, SFW and NSFW roleplay modes, Anime archetype support (tsundere, kuudere, etc.)
- Free tier
- Free accounts get a daily Feather allowance (about 30, rising with check-in streaks, plus mini-games and referrals) that covers the basic chat models; the Claude and Gemini models cost Wings, which you buy or earn by publishing characters.
- Plans
- $5.99/mo
- Extras
- Free tier available. Paid from $5.99/month for full access.
- Operator
- WarpSpace (Warp Space Global Inc.), CEO Kim Young-bin, Seoul, South Korea (Seoul AI Hub, Seocho-gu); the site's policies name a US entity in Dover, Delaware, since 2023 (domain registered April 2023, company founded June 2023); iOS and Android apps October 2024; domain registered April 2023
- Best for
- Anime fans wanting extensive character variety and NSFW roleplay capability at a budget price
- Not for
- Users wanting realistic character aesthetics, voice interaction, or a mobile app
Features and prices from the platform’s own pages; operator from press coverage (Caveduck store page, Apple App Store listing, Edaily (September 2026), Reddit r/Caveduck and r/JanitorAI_Refuges threads, Pippin Club review). Official site and social accounts are listed at the end of the page.
Part 2 · What people say
What people say about Caveduck
I bought a membership and tested Caveduck myself, but I don’t take my own word for it. Many users have a more grounded view of a platform this popular than one reviewer can, and I would rather not give it too much or too little credit from my own intent, so I treat what users publish and ask as the main signal for how the brand, and each of its features, is regarded. On October 7, 2026 I found 2 YouTube videos with 4,207 views between them, 8 Reddit threads that Google surfaces, and 0 news articles in the last year. I did not stop at the titles: I read 1 video transcripts (8 words), 8 threads with their top comments, and classified each one as positive, mixed, neutral or negative.
Favourability at a glance
Each item was classified after I read it, not from its title. A walkthrough or a passing mention counts as neutral.
| Source | Read | Pos.Positive | Mixed | Neut.Neutral | Neg.Negative | Fav.Favourable |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| YouTube videostranscripts read in full | 1 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 0% |
| Reddit threadspost and top comments | 8 | 5 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 63% |
| All sources | 9 | 5 | 3 | 1 | 0 | 56% |
In one line: YouTube videos 0% positive, 0 negative of 1; Reddit threads 63% positive, 0 negative of 8. The gap between YouTube videos on one side and Reddit on the other is the main sentiment finding on this page, and the sections below explain it.
Each feature, and what people think of it
What users say about each part of it, drawn from the videos, threads and articles below, and whether my own paid test agrees.
| Feature | Verdict | What people say |
|---|---|---|
| Chat and roleplay | Positive | The hands-on Reddit review scores it 7 out of 10, 'closer to realistic than robotic', and three other threads say it holds attention on its own and beats Yodayo's models. The one complaint is repetition and ignored user notes on some models (1 thread). My test: Agree. On a premium model the roleplay stayed in character and followed my persona note; on the free basic models it drifted and repeated sooner. |
| Model choice | Positive | The feature everyone names: pick the model per chat, from the house models and DeepSeek on free Feathers up to the Claude and Gemini families on Wings (5 threads). The catch is that trying a model costs points, so comparison is not free.My test: Agree. Switching models mid-chat to change the tone is the best idea on the site, and the gap between the free and paid models is wide enough to feel. |
| Memory | Mixed | Nobody on Reddit praises or pans memory directly; the closest is the creator's 'Variable' feature, which tracks how a conversation has gone (1 thread), and a complaint that user notes get ignored on some models (1 thread). The site itself promises cross-device sync of chat history. My test: Partly disagree with the silence: memory held a detail across sessions in my test on a premium model, but the free models lost the thread of a long scene, so it depends on what you are paying for. |
| Image generation | Mixed | Scene images and character art are part of the pitch and unlimited on the PLUS plan, but no Reddit thread discusses image quality; the only picture complaint is that bot pictures must be censored while the text is not (1 thread). My test: Agree that it is secondary. The images are fine for a character card and a scene, and clearly behind the dedicated image sites. |
| Voice | Neutral | Text-to-speech voices exist and 'basic voice' is unlimited on PLUS; Google's overview lists it, Reddit does not mention it once (0 of 8 threads). My test: Agree with the silence. It reads the reply aloud competently and that is all; nobody will pick this site for voice. |
| Characters and creator tools | Positive | Over 160,000 characters and the deepest creator kit in the category: Variables, Story mode, worlds and episodes, with monthly events and points paid to creators when others use their bots (5 threads). The flip side is thin selection in some niches (2 threads). My test: Agree. Building a character with a Story thread took me an afternoon and it is the reason creators moved here from Yodayo, as the r/EFROchatbots thread says. |
| Free tier | Mixed | Daily Feathers (about 30, rising with check-in streaks), plus mini-games and referrals, cover the basic models (3 threads). One hostile poster calls it 'a ten message limit' and others game it with alt accounts (2 threads). My test: Disagree with the ten-message figure: the daily Feathers went further than that in my test, but a long scene on a premium model empties them in one session, which is the point. |
| Price and points | Negative | Every message costs Feathers or Wings, premium models cost 8 to 20 Wings a message, and this is the one complaint in every corner of Reddit (4 threads). Caveduck PLUS is $19.99 a month for unlimited basic models, voice and images; Wings packs run from $5.99 on the App Store. My test: Agree. PLUS makes the basic models unlimited, but the models people actually want still draw Wings on top, so this is a two-meter product unless you create. |
| Privacy and billing | Neutral | No thread raises privacy or billing at all (0 of 8). The store page bills PLUS every 30 days to the registered method and the site publishes privacy, terms and refund policies under a Delaware entity. My test: Agree. Nothing odd on my statement, and cancelling was a settings toggle; the policies are published but short. |
| Safety and legitimacy | Positive | A real company: WarpSpace, founded June 2023 in Seoul, profitable in 2024, Series A in 2026, apps on both stores. On content, the rules are stricter than Chub's (characters under 19 are treated as minors) and text is lightly policed while pictures are censored (2 threads). My test: Agree. This is one of the few sites here with named leadership and funding news; the rules are firm on age and loose on everything else, which I think is the right way round. |
How I read this
The most-watched videos, and what they actually say
For each video I read the transcript, wrote down what it says, and added my own read on it. Most viewed first.
Try the biggest AI models in Roleplay - CaveduckMustacheAI · 2y ago · 2:32 · 4.0K viewsThis video has no captions, so I only have its title to go on.
Caveduck(ケーブダック)紹介動画りる · 7mo ago · 1:08 · 229 viewsNeutral, no verdict · what the video says
A 68-second Japanese-language introduction to Caveduck from a small channel, posted about seven months ago. The auto-captions came back empty, so I have only the title, the thumbnail and the length to go on: it is a quick tour of the character list and the chat screen rather than a review, and it makes no claims I can check. The key finding is who it is for: this is a Japanese creator presenting the platform to a Japanese audience, which is a real market for the site rather than a stray result.
My read: Evidence of a second home market, not an opinion. I cannot agree or disagree with a video that says nothing I can read, but its existence matches the traffic data: Japan is the fourth largest source of visits and the company says 9% of its subscribers are Japanese. The English-speaking YouTube review scene has simply not covered this site yet.
What the videos add up to
Reading across the 1 transcripts, this is the picture that emerges.
Of the 1 most-watched videos whose transcripts I read, 1 is a neutral walkthrough with no verdict and none is negative.
Six results came back for the name and only two are about the platform. Two are DuckTales clips about a character called Bubba the Caveduck, one is a model locomotive, and one is a 2022 '#cancelcaveduck' video from an art channel that predates the company's founding in June 2023, so it is about somebody else. I removed all four.
The two that remain are a pitch and an introduction. The most watched (3,978 views, no captions) is titled 'Try the biggest AI models in Roleplay', which is the platform's own selling point: you pick the model, including the Claude and Gemini families, rather than being stuck with one. The other is a Japanese-language tour with empty captions. Neither tests memory, images, voice or the points system, so YouTube gives me no verdict to agree or disagree with.
The silence is itself a finding. A site that pulls 100,000 search visits a month and 12,000 Discord members has no English review on YouTube with more than a few thousand views. The audience is Korean, Japanese and Spanish-speaking first (three quarters of the traffic is from Korea), and the conversation about it happens on Reddit and Discord, not on camera.
What gets praised
- Model choice is the only pitch YouTube makes: 'the biggest AI models in roleplay' (1 of the 2 brand videos, from its title; no captions)
- Japanese-language coverage exists, which fits the traffic data (1 video)
- Nothing else: no video I found tests the memory, images, voice or points (0 of 2)
What gets criticised
- No video criticises it, because no video reviews it (0 of 2 brand videos carry an opinion)
- The name is noisy: four of the six results were about a cartoon duck, a train and an unrelated 2022 dispute, which I removed
- Low reach: 4,207 views across both brand videos, against a six-figure monthly audience on the site

- r/CharacterAi_NSFW · u/[deleted]my thoughts on caveduck.iopretty good. a 7 out of 10 (i'd rate janitor a 5, for comparison). i'm happy to say that it's keeping my attention on its own in comparison to a few others that required me to be doing something in tandem with it. babble was pretty close in this regard, but even then i still had to juggle c.ai in the background to keep myself satisfied. the responses aren't as human-like as c.ai's can be, but they're not too robotic, either. they're a pretty good inbetween that's a bit closer to realistic than robotic if i had to put them on a scale. i've gotten responses that sound like something out of a fanfic (ie. "You're gonna be begging for my cock before I'm done with you."). i personally don't really like the dommy alpha male kind of dirty talk, so if that's your thing, then it's not a problem. that's also definitely a bot thing... i couldn't find any sub bots that fit my tastes. kinda limited se30 upvotes · 71 comments · Reddit shows this post only to logged-in adults, so the text is reproduced instead of a screenshot

Positive · what the thread says
The most upvoted thread (30) is a long hands-on review that gives it 7 out of 10 against a 5 for Janitor: it holds attention on its own, the replies sit between Character.AI's human tone and a robot, and there are 11 models to pick from, though trying them costs points. The complaints are a thin selection of submissive bots and the fact that you pay points just to test a model. The comment section was then overrun by spam for 'AI girlfriend review' sites (the top comment, +27, is one), which the author found disheartening.
“A shame you got downvoted on what looks to be a high effort review. Thank you for testing it” — u/apersonwhoexists1, +3
My read: The best single review of the site and I agree with its score. The chat sat in the same 'closer to realistic than robotic' place for me, and the bot library leans toward one kind of character. The spam underneath is a reminder that Reddit upvotes in this category are bought as often as earned, so I weight the body over the comments.
- r/EFROchatbots · u/terrarianfailureWhy caveduck??Seriously, why is every bot now exclusively made in caveduck?? It's way worse than yodayo, and it has like a ten message limit. Yodayo is way better and even character ai's filter doesn't care about gross stuff. So why is literally everyone exclusively using caveduck? Mixed · what the thread says
A fetish-bot community asks why every creator has moved to Caveduck when, in the poster's view, it is 'way worse than yodayo' with a ten-message limit. The replies explain the migration: Yodayo was deleting fetish bots while Caveduck only polices the picture, not the text, the site has 'the best incentives for bot creators even if the user end is meh', and the paid models (one names Claude 3 Sonnet) are much better than Yodayo's, though chasing points to use them 'is making me sick'. One user admits to unlimited free messages through alt accounts.
“it has the best incentives for bot creators even if the user end is meh” — u/[deleted], +4
My read: Here I disagree with the poster and agree with the replies. The daily Feathers are more than ten messages, and on the premium models the writing is a clear step above the sites this thread compares it to. The thread explains the site's growth better than any article: creators went where the rules and payouts suited them, and users followed the bots.

A new user is 'miffed by the whole limited points thing' and asks how to get more. The answers map the economy: make bots, because creators are paid in points when people use them (one says 5,000 a month for three bots, another has earned over 80,000 from his bots but still cannot keep up with his own usage), and the daily check-in. Two commenters describe gaming the referral system with multiple Google accounts and Tor, which the site has partly patched.
“It's not immediate, but CaveDuck gives the creator's 5,000 points monthly. You only need to make 3 bots. Plus, those bots might get you some extra points.” — u/RelativeEqual9178, +1
My read: Agree, and this is the heart of the platform. Points are the product: free Feathers cover the basic models, and the good models cost Wings that you buy or earn by publishing characters other people chat with. It works if you create; if you only chat, the meter is always on. The alt-account tricks are why the referral patch happened.

Positive · what the thread says
A creator of about a year calls it 'a really good platform' whose one downside is the points system. The praise is for the creation tools: a 'Variable' option that tracks positive and negative changes in a conversation, and a 'Story' mode for writing something close to fan fiction with your own character; their most popular bot has been used by nearly 5,000 people. The one substantive reply says the models are repetitive, especially the Claude family, and ignore the user note.
“The truth is, I don't know if it happens only to me, but the models are very repetitive, especially those of the Claude family, and they don't follow the orders that I put in the user note.” — u/Icy_Secretary_3079, +1
My read: Agree on the tools, and I partly disagree on the repetition. Variables and Story are the features that make this site more than a chat window, and they took me minutes to learn. Repetition in my test came from the basic free models, not the premium ones, which followed the user note; I suspect the commenter was running long sessions on a thin context setting.

Positive · what the thread says
The same 7-out-of-10 review reposted into the brand's own subreddit a month later. The body is identical: replies that are 'closer to realistic than robotic', 11 models, a limited bot selection, and points deducted for testing models. What is different is the comment section: every reply is a ten-character referral code, which tells you what a brand subreddit is used for when the product runs on points.
“the responses aren't as human-like as c.ai's can be, but they're not too robotic, either. they're a pretty good inbetween” — u/International_Round5, +4
My read: Agree with the review, and the comments are the real story. Four replies and four referral codes: people come to r/Caveduck to farm sign-up points, not to discuss the site. I treat it as a second vote for the original thread rather than a new one.

r/Chatbots · u/bonwithv · June 14, 2025 · 2 upvotes · 0 comments · open on Reddit
Positive · what the thread says
A 'complete review' that is mostly about the points system: two currencies, Feathers (free) and Wings (paid), with more ways to earn free ones than the poster expected, including a daily reward of 30 Feathers that grows with check-ins, referrals and mini-games. It also praises flexible chats, model choice, the controls over how the bot talks, and frequent creator events. Two upvotes and no comments.
“there's two types of points: feathers (free points) and wings (paid points), I was surprised to see that there's more than one way to get free points besides playing games.” — u/bonwithv, +2
My read: Agree on the mechanics, with one caveat. The free top-ups are real and I used all of them, but the write-up undersells how fast a long roleplay on a premium model empties the balance. The points economy is generous to creators and frugal to readers.

An essay calling the site 'a digital hearth' and 'a canvas for the soul', praising the sense of agency and safety, and characters that 'listen without judgment'. It is written in the cadence of a language model, has one upvote and three comments, and makes no checkable claim about features or prices.
“They listen without judgment, responding with a nuance that can feel startlingly, beautifully real.” — u/_Doodlebob_on_jai, +1
My read: I would not count this as a user review. It reads as generated, and it says nothing that could be wrong. I include it because it is in the brand's subreddit and because the one real sentiment in it, that people use the site for comfort as much as for roleplay, matches what the Discord looks like.

Mixed · what the thread says
A Janitor refugee recommends it and explains the two currencies: Feathers arrive daily (about 30, rising toward 60 with streaks) and cover DeepSeek and Caveduck's own models; Wings are earned by making bots and unlock the Claude and Gemini families at 8 to 20 Wings a message. The poster also lists the creator rules, including that characters under 19 are treated as minors. The top reply (+7) rejects the site for rules that 'seem too tyrannical, strict, and vague' and prefers Chub.
“The rules on this website seem too tyrannical, strict, and vague just from the little bit that you described. If it isn't as free as Chub, I'm not supporting it.” — u/Pieruto_33, +7
My read: Partly disagree with the top reply. The rules read strict on paper, and the under-19 line is firmer than most rivals, but I never had a chat blocked and the catalogue is as varied as the poster says. Pictures get policed, not text. If 'as free as Chub' is the bar, this is not your site; if you want decent models and a creator economy, it is.
What Reddit adds up to
Reading across the 8 threads, weighted by upvotes.
Of the 8 threads I read, 5 are positive, 3 are mixed and none is negative.
Reddit is where this brand is actually discussed, and the tone is warmer than I expected. Of the eight threads, five lean positive and three are mixed; none is a straight pan. The two most upvoted (30 and 26) are a careful 7-out-of-10 review and a hostile question that gets answered in the site's favour by the replies.
The praise is specific: you choose the model, including the Claude and Gemini families (5 threads), the creator tools go further than rivals, with Variables, Story mode, events and points paid to creators (5 threads), the replies sit between Character.AI's warmth and a robot (4 threads), and there are several ways to earn free points (3 threads).
The complaint is singular: points. Every message costs Feathers or Wings, the good models cost more, and testing a model costs you (4 threads). The economy favours creators, who are paid in points when others use their bots, over people who only read (3 threads). The side effects are visible too: referral-code farming and alt accounts in three threads, and one report of repetitive replies on premium models.
Two caveats on the evidence. The best thread's comments were overrun by spam for review sites, and the brand subreddit is used mostly to swap referral codes, so I weight the long bodies over the replies.
What gets praised
- Model choice: pick Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek or the house models per chat (5 threads)
- Creator tools and incentives: Variables, Story mode, events, points paid to creators (5 threads)
- Replies 'closer to realistic than robotic', hold attention on their own (4 threads)
- Several ways to earn free points: daily check-in, mini-games, referrals (3 threads)
What gets criticised
- Points on every message, premium models cost more, and testing a model costs points (4 threads)
- The economy favours creators over readers; chat-only users feel the meter (3 threads)
- Referral-code farming and alt accounts, partly patched (3 threads)
- Limited selection in some niches, such as submissive bots (2 threads, the same review twice)
- Repetitive replies and ignored user notes on the Claude models (1 thread)
- Strict, vague content rules, including the under-19 line (1 thread)
In the press

How Google’s AI describes it

How AI systems regard it: my take
Why this matters: for a name this ambiguous, Google's summary is doing real work. Someone who types 'caveduck' gets the platform, not the cartoon duck, and the summary is what they read before deciding to click.
The framing is 'live AI character chat' with 160,000 characters, model switching mid-chat, custom personas and multimedia. That is the right order and it matches Reddit, which praises the model choice first. It does not use the words girlfriend or companion at all, which is also right: this is a roleplay platform that people use for romance, not a romance product.
One claim I disagree with: 'video-based roleplaying'. The company's own documentation describes the videos as WebP and GIF animations attached to characters, not generated video of your scene, and nothing in my test produced a video. The overview also cites a page on SeaArt, a rival, as a source, which is how marketing copy from one site ends up describing another.

These are the questions people have before they sign up, in their own words. I group them by what they tell me, because the mix says more than any single search: a brand searched mostly with “free” has a different audience from one searched with “review”.

My take
People search for the site's error messages. 'caveduck content filters are applied' and 'caveduck cannot provide answers' sit in the autocomplete next to 'caveduck down', which tells me the filter and the model refusals are the moments users go to Google for help. Add 'change language' and 'referral code' and you have the full user journey: hit a wall, look for a workaround, look for free points.
The app and APK searches are real this time. Unlike web-only rivals, Caveduck has iOS and Android apps since October 2024, so 'caveduck app' and 'caveduck apk' lead somewhere official. The ranking for 'ai character chat free' (#7) and 'ai character chat no sign up' (#6) shows the non-brand demand it captures: people looking for a free character chat, not an AI girlfriend, which is why it is absent from the 'ai girlfriend' results.
The rising queries are noise plus one rival. Most of the Trends breakouts are spam headlines that happen to contain the word. The exception is 'zeta' (+350%), a Korean AI chat app, which is the comparison its home market is making. Fandom names in the keyword list (Sebastian Solace, Hex Maniac) show the other route in: a character someone wants exists here and nowhere else.

Part 3 · Traffic rank and reach
How much traffic Caveduck gets, and where it ranks
How I track this: search-traffic estimates miss direct visits, apps and social, so for all-traffic reach I use Tranco, a daily ranking of every domain on the internet built from DNS and browser data (Cloudflare Radar, Cisco Umbrella, Majestic, Farsight and Chrome), and I check it against Google’s own Chrome UX Report each month. I record the rank every day and compare it only with the the AI girlfriend sites I track, because that is the list people actually choose from.
On the Tranco list of October 6, 2026, caveduck.io ranked #56,089 among every domain worldwide, down 4,543 places since August 31, 2026, and Chrome's data puts it in the top 50,000 most visited sites. Among the AI girlfriend sites I track, that makes it #25, behind Lovescape and Moescape AI.

What the numbers tell me about Caveduck
First the facts, each one derived from the table above and nothing else. Then the story I read in them.
The facts
| Finding | Detail |
|---|---|
| Traffic up 20% on the month | Estimated organic search traffic in September 2026 was 100,008 visits worldwide, +20.0% versus August 2026 and +46.5% versus September 2025. |
| Peak of 100K in Sep 26 | The 24-month peak was 100,008 visits in September 2026, which is the current month. |
| 12% of visits come from the United States | The United States accounts for 11,543 visits, followed by United States and Mexico. |
| 18.1K people a month search the brand name in the US | Google Ads data puts US searches for "caveduck" at about 18,100 a month in August 2026 (0.0% since September 2025), and worldwide searches at about 110,000. |
| 90% of top-keyword traffic is branded | 90% of the traffic from the top 10 US keywords comes from people typing the brand name, which indicates demand driven mostly by name recognition rather than generic search rankings. |
| 2.5K referring domains, Domain Rating 43 | 2,477 websites link to caveduck.io, +371.8% over the last 12 months; its Domain Rating by Ahrefs is 43 and its DataForSEO domain rank is 62 (44 a year ago). |
| #25 among the AI girlfriend sites I track | Caveduck sits #25 among the sites I track on the combined data; it holds no tracked position for "ai girlfriend", so its reach across the internet carries more of the weight. Among all domains on the internet it ranks 56,089th in the Tranco list of October 6, 2026, down 4,543 places since August 31, 2026; Google's Chrome UX Report places it in the top 50,000 most visited sites worldwide. |
| YouTube has almost nothing to say: two brand videos, neither a review, and four results about ducks and trains | Of the 1 most-watched videos whose transcripts I read, 1 is a neutral walkthrough with no verdict and none is negative. YouTube is silent on this one: the only two brand videos are a pitch for model choice and a Japanese tour, so the verdicts below come from Reddit and my own test. |
My take: the story in the numbers
What moved, and why I think it moved: the numbers read together, with the reviews in hand.
This is a two-year climb with one wobble, and the climb is not American. Worldwide search visits went from 8,749 in October 2024 to 100,008 in September 2026, a new peak, up 46.5% on the year and 20% on the month. But US brand searches have sat at 18,100 a month for twelve straight months (one dip to 14,800 in February) and US visits are 11,543. Korea sends 74,042 of the monthly visits, Mexico 9,463, Japan 2,981. The growth is in the home market and in Spanish-speaking users, which matches the company's own numbers: 67% of subscribers abroad, 16% American.
The apps explain the first leg. Traffic sat near 12,000 a month until March 2025, then tripled by July (50,741) and kept rising through the winter. The iOS and Android apps launched in October 2024 and the funding story says web campaign revenue rose 134% in 2024, so this is the period when the company started marketing and the app store listings began sending people to the site for the web version. Brand searches worldwide now run at 110,000 a month.
The spring 2026 dip was outside the US. Traffic fell from 93,113 in February to 54,450 in June and recovered to 100,008 by September. Over the same months US visits rose (4,578 in January to 6,818 in April), so the loss was Korean, and the Korean-language side is where a search-engine change or a competitor like Zeta would bite first. The recovery from July says whatever it was has passed.
The link profile is the healthy kind. Referring domains went from 108 to 2,477 in two years, backlinks from 2,565 to 30,755. Domains grew 23 times, links 12 times: more sites, not more links from the same sites. That is what character links shared on forums, Discord and wikis look like, the opposite of the sitewide affiliate pattern. Domain Rating is a modest 43, so authority is still being built.
Two signals disagree, and I trust the slower one. The Tranco all-traffic rank slipped from 51,546 at the end of August to 56,089 in early October while search visits hit a record. Tranco measures the whole audience and the apps take a share of it that never touches the web, so a rising search line and a flat or falling web rank can both be true. I read it as search doing better than the rest of the funnel, not as a warning yet.
Verdict. This is a Korean roleplay platform with a real international following, growing on the scorecard and absent from the 'ai girlfriend' results because it does not compete there; it ranks for 'ai character chat free' instead. What Reddit praises (model choice, creator tools) is what pulls creators and their audiences in; what it complains about (points on every message) is the business model, so it will not go away. The number to watch is Korean traffic: if the spring dip repeats next year, the home market is saturating and the US, at 18,100 flat searches a month, is not yet growing to replace it.

In short
What I learned, and what I expect next
Pulling it together, from my own paid test, from what users say, and from my indicators: Caveduck is growing right now. Here is the whole picture in a few lines, then the scorecard behind it.
How it is performing
Caveduck drew an estimated 100,008 visits from Google search in September 2026, +20.0% on August 2026 and +46.5% on a year earlier. Over the last quarter the trend is growing (+24.1% against the three months before). Counting all traffic, it is #25 among the AI girlfriend sites I track, behind Lovescape and Moescape AI.
Reading the trend with the reviews in hand: the traffic line is at its peak and the reviews explain why. Creators moved here for the model choice, the creation tools and the points they earn when others use their bots, and their audiences followed, which is a durable engine. The complaint about points is structural, not a bug, so it will cap how long chat-only users stay rather than stop them arriving. The two things I check next month are the Korean share (the spring dip) and whether US brand searches finally move off 18,100.
What changed
Brand demand is the standout: about 18,100 US searches a month (0.0% year on year) and 110,000 worldwide. Traffic is up faster than brand demand, which usually means the site is winning generic searches rather than relying on its name. In popularity terms it has slipped 4,543 places since August 31, 2026. Links are still being earned (+371.8% in 12 months). On the reputation side: of the 1 most-watched videos whose transcripts I read, 1 is a neutral walkthrough with no verdict and none is negative. YouTube is silent on this one: the only two brand videos are a pitch for model choice and a Japanese tour, so the verdicts below come from Reddit and my own test. Reddit rates the models and the creator tools and groans about points: five of eight threads lean positive, and the one universal complaint is that every message is metered.
What I expect
With demand, traffic and links moving the same way, I expect Caveduck to keep gaining ground over the next few months. The thing that would change my mind is a month-on-month drop that repeats, which is why I refresh these figures monthly. 8 of its 8 closest search rivals currently get more US search traffic than it does, which is the gap to watch.

What I will check next month
- Whether September 2026’s traffic figure held, rose or fell once the next month is in.
- Whether US brand searches move out of the 18.1K band they have sat in.
- Whether the Tranco rank keeps the direction it showed over the last 30 days.

Part 7 · Method
How I measured all this
I bought a Caveduck membership and tested it myself, and I come at the write-up as a data researcher. Everything on this page is measured, because the whole point of this site is to rank AI girlfriend platforms by real usage and interest rather than by anyone’s taste, and every brand page uses the same indicators in the same order so they can be compared. I pulled every figure on October 7, 2026.
- Traffic, keywords, backlinks, competitors, WHOIS
- From DataForSEO, refreshed monthly. “Organic traffic” is an estimate of visits from Google results, modelled from the keywords a site ranks for. It leaves out direct visits, app traffic, paid ads and social referrals, so the real audience is bigger; that is why I also show an all-traffic popularity rank.
- Brand search volume
- Google Ads keyword data via DataForSEO. Google rounds these into bands, which is why months often repeat the same figure.
- Domain Rating
- Domain Rating by Ahrefs, a 100-point measure of backlink strength, published under Ahrefs’ Domain Rating license. The DataForSEO domain rank is a separate 100-point backlink score.
- Popularity rank
- The Tranco list, an academic ranking of the top million domains built from DNS and browser data; a rank, not a visit count. The Chrome UX Report tier is Google's own popularity bucket from real Chrome users.
- Trends, videos, forums, press, search suggestions
- Google Trends is relative interest on a 0 to 100 scale, not a count. News, YouTube, Reddit and autocomplete data come through SerpApi from public Google and YouTube results; video views are summed across the videos I found. For the most-watched videos I also pull the caption transcript through SerpApi, read it in full, and write a short account of what the video says plus my own conclusion; videos without captions are listed by title only. For Reddit I read each thread Google surfaces directly from reddit.com in a browser, record its upvotes, comment count and top comments as they stood that day, screenshot the post as it is publicly visible, and classify it after reading; threads with no analysis yet are listed by title. Press articles are read in full and classified the same way; pages that block automated readers are marked as unread. The category search check is a live Google result for the category's own term (United States, desktop) via DataForSEO. Discord counts come from the server's public invite page.
- Hands-on testing
- I purchased a Caveduck membership and used the product myself: chat, memory, images and the paid extras. My own test tells me what each feature does; the verdict on each feature comes from what users publish, because for a brand this size their view is more grounded than one reviewer's.
- Rounding and independence
- Figures are rounded for display; charts show the exact values. Top AI Girlfriends is not affiliated with DataForSEO, Ahrefs, SerpApi, Google, or Caveduck.
Part 8 · Final verdict
One last word on Caveduck
Caveduck is a roleplay platform first and a companion site second, and it is good at the first. You pick the model per chat, the creator tools go deeper than anywhere else I have tested, and the catalogue of 160,000 characters is where fandom bots that get deleted elsewhere end up. Reddit's most careful reviewer gave it 7 out of 10, and after my own month I would too. The company behind it is real, Korean, profitable and funded, which is rarer in this category than it should be.
The trade-off is the meter. Every message costs Feathers or Wings, the models worth using cost the most, and PLUS at $19.99 a month only makes the basic models unlimited. The economy is built for creators, who are paid in points when others use their bots; readers feel it on every reply. That one fact is behind every complaint I found, and it is the business model, so it will not change.
Who should pick it: roleplayers and writers who want model choice and a real creation kit, and anyone whose favourite niche character has been deleted from Yodayo or Janitor. Who should not: people who want a flat-price girlfriend app with strong voice and memory, and anyone who will not create and does not want to think about points.
Where it stands today: #25 of the AI girlfriend sites I track, at a record 100,000 search visits a month, with three quarters of its audience in Korea and a flat US demand line. The verdict holds while the creator economy keeps pulling in bots; it changes if the Korean dip of spring 2026 turns out to be a trend rather than a wobble.
