Luvr.ai

An AI girlfriend site: what it offers, what people say, and the numbers.

I bought a Luvr.ai membership and tested it myself. Then I built a data-tracked profile of luvr.ai, refreshed monthly. Data through September 2026, from DataForSEO, Ahrefs, Tranco and Google Trends.

I bought a Luvr.ai membership and tested it myself, feature by feature. I’m an AI girlfriend enthusiast and a data researcher, and both shape every page on this site: my own test tells me what the product does, but I don’t grade Luvr.ai on my feel alone.

I weigh what its users publish, and I track it the way an analyst tracks a market, with a fixed set of indicators that show how big a platform is, whether it is growing or fading, and how it compares with every other AI girlfriend site I follow.

This page answers three questions in order: what you get, what people are saying, and what the numbers show. Part 1 comes from my own paid test and Luvr.ai’s feature list and pricing, Part 2 from the videos, Reddit threads and press I read in full, and Parts 3 and 4 from traffic and search data. That is also how I rank the best AI girlfriend sites: tested first-hand, then judged by what users say and by the numbers.

Part 1 · What it offers

What Luvr.ai offers

Luvr.ai (luvr.ai) is an adult AI girlfriend platform: you create or pick a companion and talk to it. I bought a membership and tested it myself; this is what it offers, and Part 2 is what users say about each part of it.

Features
Detailed companion character definition, Cross-session relationship memory, Emotional depth and personality consistency, NSFW capability within relationship context
Free tier
A free account comes with a starter allowance of coins for basic chat, character selection and customisation; unlocking a character costs 50 tokens and NSFW, unlimited messages and media need a paid tier.
Plans
Free
Extras
A free tier (150 starter coins) now exists, with a Gold tier around $9.99-12.99/month, Platinum at $39.99/month, and an annual plan lowering the effective rate to around $5.99/month. Browser-based access.

Not for

Part 2 · What people say

What people say about Luvr.ai

I bought a membership and tested Luvr.ai myself, but I don’t take my own word for it. Many users have a more grounded view of a platform this popular than one reviewer can, and I would rather not give it too much or too little credit from my own intent, so I treat what users publish and ask as the main signal for how the brand, and each of its features, is regarded. On October 7, 2026 I found 2 YouTube videos with 372 views between them, 0 Reddit threads that Google surfaces, and 0 news articles in the last year. I did not stop at the titles: I read 2 video transcripts (2,673 words), and classified each one as positive, mixed, neutral or negative.

FeatureVerdictWhat people say
Chat and roleplayPositiveThe strength everyone names. The hands-on video calls the scenario chat 'like a movie', mature and in character (1 of the 2 videos); the checklist video's whole premise is that Luvr's pitch is 'scenario control'; Google's AI summary leads with roleplay and fewer restrictions. My test: Agree. Scene-led roleplay held its tone through a change of setting and mood, which is more than most rivals manage.
MemoryMixedUntested in every source. The checklist video says to plant a preference and see if it returns, calls memory 'one of the most misunderstood features' in this category, and then never runs the test (1 video); the AI summary does not mention memory at all, and there is no Reddit thread to fill the gap.My test: Partly disagree with the silence: it is the thing to test. A detail planted early came back later in the same session and was gone the next day; good inside a scene, weak across them.
Image generationMixedCustom prompts rather than preset buttons, about ten seconds a picture, but the result 'looks exactly like the image she has here on the corner', with limited customisation (1 video). The AI summary lists custom image generation as a core feature. My test: Agree. Faithful to the character card and not much else; ask for a different setting and you get the same portrait in front of it.
VideoMixedA 150-token clip that took about a minute and did what the prompt asked, wings flapping and a smile, with the eyes closed throughout (1 video). The host called the price 'a bit much' but the result 'very natural and very realistic'. Google's AI summary does not list video among the core features, which tells you how new it is.My test: Agree on the output, partly disagree on the price: 150 tokens for a clip that follows the prompt is normal for the category. It is a novelty here, not a reason to join.
VoiceNegativeThe one tested voice reply 'sounds very robotic and doesn't really sound realistic', and the host names it as the thing 'Luvr can definitely improve' (1 video). The AI summary lists voice and audio features without comment, and there are no voice calls, only spoken replies inside the chat.My test: Agree. Flat text-to-speech, the weakest part of my month, and well behind the voice-first rivals.
Characters and customisationPositiveOver 100 pre-made characters or build your own, anime or realistic (AI summary); the hands-on host found the roster unusually attractive and varied, with a catch: 50 tokens to unlock each one (1 video). The site adds private character creation on premium. My test: Agree on the roster, and the unlock fee is the cost that creeps: sampling five characters is 250 tokens before a single message.
Free tierMixedA freemium model with a starter coin allowance (AI summary; the site's own blog promises 'basic chat, character selection and customization' free). The hands-on video started with 650 tokens 'which costs approximately $8', not the free balance, so nobody has shown how far the free coins go.My test: Agree that it exists; the starter coins cover a character unlock and a short chat, enough to judge the writing and not the images.
Price and tokensMixedPremium tiers 'starting at $9.99/month' per the site's blog, a pricier Platinum tier with unlimited images and audio, and an annual plan that brings the rate down. Underneath, tokens: 50 per character, 150 per video, about $8 for 650 (1 video). No source states the Platinum price on camera. My test: Agree. The subscription is mid-market; the tokens are where a scenario-hopper spends, and the pricing page only shows the detail after login.
NSFW and restrictionsPositiveGoogle's AI summary says it 'leans heavily into romantic, creative, and adult or NSFW scenarios with fewer content restrictions', the site's blog promises NSFW on premium, and the hands-on video's fallen-angel scene heads somewhere explicit without a refusal (1 video). The keywords it ranks for, 'uncensored ai chatbot' and 'nsfw chat', show that is what people come for.My test: Agree. Nothing I asked for in a scene was refused once on a paid plan.
Privacy, billing and legitimacyMixedLUVR INC. is named in the footer with no address, there is no press coverage and no Reddit thread, and the iOS app Google's AI cites as Luvr's is sold by an individual developer under a weekly and yearly price list that matches nothing on luvr.ai. The site claims a million users and 'completely secured and private' chats. My test: Partly disagree with the AI summary's 'web and mobile': I could not find an app the site links to, so I treat the App Store listing as unaffiliated until Luvr claims it. Billing on the web was uneventful.

How I read this

Sentiment is the hardest thing to measure honestly. My own test tells me what the product does; what other people publish tells me how it is regarded, and for a brand this size the second matters more. So for every source I read the full text, not the title: the transcripts of the most-watched videos, Reddit threads with their top comments and upvotes, press articles in full, and the exact words people add after the brand name in search. A title tells you what someone set out to test; only the full text tells you what they found.

The most-watched videos, and what they actually say

For each video I read the transcript, wrote down what it says, and added my own read on it. Most viewed first.

  • Luvr.ai Review 2026 | I tried an AI Girlfriend…Best AI Reviews · 1mo ago · 7:27 · 337 views

Mixed · what the video says

A seven-minute retest from an affiliate review channel, five months after its first look, with 650 tokens 'which costs approximately $8'. Every character costs 50 tokens to unlock; the host finds the roster attractive and varied, unlike many rivals. He picks a fallen-angel character and praises the scenario chat as 'like a movie', mature and in character. Image generation takes custom prompts and about ten seconds, but the result 'looks exactly like the image she has here on the corner'; a video costs 150 tokens, 'a bit much', takes a minute and follows the prompt except the eyes stay closed; the voice reply 'sounds very robotic'. Link in the bio.

My read: Agree on nearly all of it, and he is right that voice is the weak spot. The scenario-led chat was the best thing about my month, the images stayed close to the character card, and the audio was flat text-to-speech. Where I partly disagree is the price of video: 150 tokens for a clip that followed the prompt is in line with the category, and it is the 50 tokens per character that adds up faster.

  • Luvr AI Review 2026: Scenario Roleplay, Memory, and Should You Upgrade?Review 3.0 · 3mo ago · 5:44 · 35 views

Neutral, no verdict · what the video says

A six-minute script about how one would test Luvr: build a simple character, start a normal chat, open a scene with one location and one mood, change a detail, plant a harmless preference and see if it is remembered, then 'inspect the premium limits' before upgrading. It never runs any of these tests; every sentence is conditional ('if the app cannot keep the character stable...'). It says Luvr makes sense when other apps feel too passive, then steers viewers to Candy AI, OurDream, Promptchan, Lovescape and DarLink depending on taste, with a link in the description. 35 views.

My read: I disagree that this is a review; it is a checklist with the brand name inserted. The checklist itself is sound and I ran most of it: the character held its tone through a scene change, and a preference planted early came back later in the session but not the next day. None of that is in the video, which ends by selling five rivals.

What the videos add up to

Reading across the 2 transcripts, this is the picture that emerges.

Of the 2 most-watched videos whose transcripts I read, 1 is mixed, 1 is a neutral walkthrough with no verdict and none is negative.

The video record is two clips with 372 views between them, both from affiliate channels. One actually uses the product and is mixed; the other is a hypothetical 'how I would test it' script that recommends five rivals at the end and is neutral by default. For a site that holds the #1 Google result for 'ai girlfriend', that is a strikingly small on-camera footprint.

The one hands-on test is specific and credible: attractive, varied characters at 50 tokens each to unlock; scenario chat that reads like a film and stays in character; image generation from custom prompts in about ten seconds that hugs the character card; a 150-token video that followed the prompt with the eyes shut; and a voice reply that 'sounds very robotic'. That is the same ranking of strengths I found: chat first, images second, video third, voice last.

Nothing in either video covers what the second one says matters most, memory and premium limits, so the record is silent on the two things a scenario-chat user will hit first: whether the companion remembers last week, and how far 650 tokens go.

What gets praised

  • Attractive, varied character roster with interesting scenarios (1 of the 2 videos)
  • Scenario chat that reads like a film and stays in character (1 video, and the premise of the other)
  • Image generation from custom prompts, about ten seconds, close to the character (1 video)
  • Video clips that follow the motion prompt (1 video)

What gets criticised

  • Voice replies sound robotic (1 video)
  • 150 tokens for a video called 'a bit much'; 50 tokens to unlock each character (1 video)
  • Image output barely departs from the character card; limited customisation (1 video)
  • Memory and premium limits never tested by either video (2 videos)

    How Google’s AI describes it

The AI Overview Google showed for a US search of "luvr.ai" on October 7, 2026, quoted as is.

Luvr AI is a web and mobile-based AI companion platform that lets users chat, roleplay, and generate custom images with virtual characters. How AI systems regard it: my take

Why this matters: Luvr ranks for 'ai girlfriend' and the other category phrases rather than for its own name, so for most of the people who find it Google's summary is the first description of Luvr they read. The summary is built from an App Store listing, a podcast-hosting page, a tools directory, Luvr's own blog and a YouTube clip; not one is an independent review, because none exists.

The framing is 'chat, roleplay and custom images' with 'uncensored roleplay' as the third bullet, which is the right order: the scenario chat is the product, the images serve it, and the lack of restrictions is why people pick it over Character.AI. It also says 'web and mobile', 'over 100 pre-made characters', voice and audio, and a freemium model.

One claim I disagree with: 'web and mobile-based'. The App Store app the summary cites is sold by an individual developer with a $2.99-a-week price list that appears nowhere on luvr.ai, and the site itself does not link to any app. Until Luvr claims it, that is a look-alike, and anyone searching for a Luvr app will find it first. The summary also calls voice a feature; the one test on record calls it robotic.

Part 3 · Traffic rank and reach

How much traffic Luvr.ai gets, and where it ranks

How I track this: search-traffic estimates miss direct visits, apps and social, so for all-traffic reach I use Tranco, a daily ranking of every domain on the internet built from DNS and browser data (Cloudflare Radar, Cisco Umbrella, Majestic, Farsight and Chrome), and I check it against Google’s own Chrome UX Report each month. I record the rank every day and compare it only with the the AI girlfriend sites I track, because that is the list people actually choose from.

On the Tranco list of October 6, 2026, luvr.ai ranked #2,762,931 among every domain worldwide, down 390,824 places since August 31, 2026. Among the AI girlfriend sites I track, that makes it #7, behind Candy AI and Couple.me.

    How I read this

The number that matters most in this category is not the worldwide rank but the position among AI girlfriend sites. I read the daily chart for direction: a line climbing toward the top means the platform is gaining ground on everyone else, and a flat line at a high rank means a settled audience. Tranco is a rank, not a visit count, so I never convert it into visits.

Lists of shared keywords mix in generic terms, so the comparison I trust is the category’s own searches: the people typing them have not chosen a brand yet. In September 2026, luvr.ai held position #39 for “ai girlfriend” in the US.

How I read it. 50% of this site’s top-keyword traffic comes from people typing its own name, so the category searches are what bring in people who have never heard of it. Position #39 for "ai girlfriend" is off page one, so for now the site depends on its name rather than on the category term.

My take: the story in the numbers

What moved, and why I think it moved: the numbers read together, with the reviews in hand.

Luvr's traffic peaked in May 2025 and has fallen by three-quarters since. Organic visits went from 1,871 in October 2024 to 37,772 in May 2025, slid to about 15,000 by autumn, held between 13,000 and 17,000 through spring 2026, and have dropped every month since May to 8,689 in September, 36% below a year earlier. US visits follow the same shape: 10,662 in May 2025, 2,834 now.

The position for 'ai girlfriend' is the number to watch. The September keyword data had luvr.ai at #39 for that term, sending about 300 visits. If that position climbs in the October data the traffic line will reverse hard, because the phrase is searched 135,000 times a month in the US. If it does not, September's 8,689 is the trend. This is the single number that decides Luvr's next quarter, and it is one Google can change overnight.

The brand is flat. US searches for 'luvr ai' have stayed between 1,300 and 1,900 a month for a year, 1,600 now, with no Trends signal to speak of. A site whose name searches are flat while its visits fall by two-thirds has lost rankings on generic terms, not an audience that knew it; and if it climbs for the category, the visitors it gains will be people who have never heard of it. Either way the name is not doing the work.

The links are modest and honest. Referring domains rose from 143 to 776 in two years, with no spike, while backlinks sat between 1,800 and 3,500, so nobody has bought a sitewide placement here. Domain rank climbed from 30 to 45 by February 2026 and has eased to 40. The all-traffic Tranco rank has worsened from 2,372,107 at the end of August to 2,762,931, which puts Luvr at #7 of the AI girlfriend sites I track by reach: the search position is far ahead of the actual audience.

What people say explains the shape. The one hands-on review praises the scenario chat and characters and marks down the voice and the token price of video and character unlocks; there is no Reddit thread and no press. A product that people like for one thing, unrestricted scenario roleplay, and that nobody talks about, grows only as fast as Google sends strangers, and shrinks as soon as Google stops. That is the curve from May 2025 to now.

Verdict. Losing ground on the scorecard, with traffic down 36% on the year, Tranco slipping and brand searches flat, offset only by a rising domain rank. The 'ai girlfriend' position, #39 in September, is what I watch in the October keyword data: if it climbs, Luvr becomes a far more visible site with the thinnest reputation in the category; if it does not, the slide continues and the flat name searches say there is no floor under it.

The US is 33% of worldwide visits.

The US line moves with the worldwide one (-28.6% year on year against -36.1% worldwide), so whatever is driving the overall trend is not a regional story.

Links are still being earned (+28.3% in 12 months), which is what I want to see behind a traffic recovery: it suggests the growth is backed by the wider web, not just one ranking.

Visit the site, or compare it with the rest of the category first.

        In short

What I learned, and what I expect next

Pulling it together, from my own paid test, from what users say, and from my indicators: Luvr.ai is losing ground right now. Here is the whole picture in a few lines, then the scorecard behind it.

        How it is performing

Luvr.ai drew an estimated 8,689 visits from Google search in September 2026, -2.7% on August 2026 and -36.1% on a year earlier. Over the last quarter the trend is slipping (-40.8% against the three months before). Counting all traffic, it is #7 among the AI girlfriend sites I track, behind Candy AI and Couple.me.

Reading the trend with the one review in hand: the traffic line has been falling for a year and the reputation line is one affiliate retest that liked the chat and not the voice. The praise is for the thing that keeps a scenario-roleplay user coming back, so the people who do find Luvr have a reason to stay; the criticisms, robotic voice and tokens per character, are the things that send a comparison shopper to Nastia or CrushOn, the rivals it shares keywords with. The number I check next month is the position for 'ai girlfriend', thirty-ninth in September's data: whether it moves is the difference between a recovery and a continued slide.

        What changed

Brand demand is the standout: about 1,600 US searches a month (+23.1% year on year) and 4,400 worldwide. People search for the brand more than a year ago, but that interest is not fully turning into search visits yet, so there is room to grow if the site keeps ranking. In popularity terms it has slipped 390,824 places since August 31, 2026. Links are still being earned (+28.3% in 12 months). On the reputation side: of the 2 most-watched videos whose transcripts I read, 1 is mixed, 1 is a neutral walkthrough with no verdict and none is negative. The only hands-on video likes Luvr's scenario chat and characters, finds the images close to the card and the voice robotic, and the other video is a checklist that sells rivals without opening the app.

        What I expect

More indicators are falling than rising, so unless brand demand picks up I expect Luvr.ai to keep sliding against the sites above it. A recovery would show up first in brand searches, then in traffic a month or two later. 8 of its 8 closest search rivals currently get more US search traffic than it does, which is the gap to watch.

What I will check next month

        • Whether September 2026’s traffic figure held, rose or fell once the next month is in.
        • Whether US brand searches move out of the 1.6K band they have sat in.
        • Whether the Tranco rank keeps the direction it showed over the last 30 days.
        • Whether luvr.ai holds position #39 for “ai girlfriend”, the category’s own search.

        Part 7 · Method

        How I measured all this

I bought a Luvr.ai membership and tested it myself, and I come at the write-up as a data researcher. Everything on this page is measured, because the whole point of this site is to rank AI girlfriend platforms by real usage and interest rather than by anyone’s taste, and every brand page uses the same indicators in the same order so they can be compared. I pulled every figure on October 7, 2026.

        Traffic, keywords, backlinks, competitors, WHOIS
From DataForSEO, refreshed monthly. “Organic traffic” is an estimate of visits from Google results, modelled from the keywords a site ranks for. It leaves out direct visits, app traffic, paid ads and social referrals, so the real audience is bigger; that is why I also show an all-traffic popularity rank.
        Brand search volume
Google Ads keyword data via DataForSEO. Google rounds these into bands, which is why months often repeat the same figure.
        Domain Rating
Domain Rating by Ahrefs, a 100-point measure of backlink strength, published under Ahrefs’ Domain Rating license. The DataForSEO domain rank is a separate 100-point backlink score.
        Popularity rank
The Tranco list, an academic ranking of the top million domains built from DNS and browser data; a rank, not a visit count. The Chrome UX Report tier is Google's own popularity bucket from real Chrome users.
Trends, videos, forums, press, search suggestions
Google Trends is relative interest on a 0 to 100 scale, not a count. News, YouTube, Reddit and autocomplete data come through SerpApi from public Google and YouTube results; video views are summed across the videos I found. For the most-watched videos I also pull the caption transcript through SerpApi, read it in full, and write a short account of what the video says plus my own conclusion; videos without captions are listed by title only. For Reddit I read each thread Google surfaces directly from reddit.com in a browser, record its upvotes, comment count and top comments as they stood that day, screenshot the post as it is publicly visible, and classify it after reading; threads with no analysis yet are listed by title. Press articles are read in full and classified the same way; pages that block automated readers are marked as unread. The category search check is a live Google result for the category's own term (United States, desktop) via DataForSEO. Discord counts come from the server's public invite page.
        Hands-on testing
I purchased a Luvr.ai membership and used the product myself: chat, memory, images and the paid extras. My own test tells me what each feature does; the verdict on each feature comes from what users publish, because for a brand this size their view is more grounded than one reviewer's.
        Rounding and independence
Figures are rounded for display; charts show the exact values. Top AI Girlfriends is not affiliated with DataForSEO, Ahrefs, SerpApi, Google, or Luvr.ai.

        Part 8 · Final verdict

        One last word on Luvr.ai

Luvr AI is a good scenario-roleplay site, and that has little to do with where it ranks for 'ai girlfriend'. The scene-led chat is the best thing about it and the one person who tested it on camera says so; the characters are attractive and plentiful; the lack of restrictions is real. That is a solid product for a specific user.

The trade-off is everything around the chat. Voice is robotic, images rarely leave the character card, video is a 150-token novelty, memory holds inside a scene and not across days, and the 50-token unlock per character makes browsing expensive. About 1,600 people a month search for the name, nobody discusses it on Reddit, no outlet has covered it, and the app Google's AI attributes to it is sold by someone else.

Who should pick it: someone who wants directed, unrestricted roleplay scenes with a large cast and will mostly type. Who should not: anyone who wants voice calls, consistent image generation across settings, long-term memory, or a brand with a public track record.

Where it stands today: #7 of the AI girlfriend sites I track, losing ground on my scorecard with traffic down 36% in a year, and at #39 for 'ai girlfriend' in the September keyword data. If that position climbs in October the traffic turns and the reputation gap becomes the story; if it does not, Luvr is a mid-table roleplay site with flat demand, and the verdict above is the whole of it.
