Privee AI

An AI girlfriend site: what it offers, what people say, and the numbers.

I bought a Privee AI membership and tested it myself. Then I built a data-tracked profile of priveeai.com, refreshed monthly. Data through September 2026, from DataForSEO, Ahrefs, Tranco and Google Trends.

I bought a Privee AI membership and tested it myself, feature by feature. I’m an AI girlfriend enthusiast and a data researcher, and both shape every page on this site: my own test tells me what the product does, but I don’t grade Privee AI on my feel alone.

I weigh what its users publish, and I track it the way an analyst tracks a market, with a fixed set of indicators that show how big a platform is, whether it is growing or fading, and how it compares with every other AI girlfriend site I follow.

This page answers three questions in order: what you get, what people are saying, and what the numbers show. Part 1 comes from my own paid test and Privee AI’s feature list and pricing, Part 2 from the videos, Reddit threads and press I read in full, and Parts 3 and 4 from traffic and search data. That is also how I rank the best AI girlfriend sites: tested first-hand, then judged by what users say and by the numbers.

Part 1 · What it offers

What Privee AI offers

Privee AI (priveeai.com) is an adult AI girlfriend platform: you create or pick a companion and talk to it, with voice, AI-generated images on top of text chat. I bought a membership and tested it myself; this is what it offers, and Part 2 is what users say about each part of it.

Part 2 · What people say

What people say about Privee AI

I bought a membership and tested Privee AI myself, but I don’t take my own word for it. Many users have a more grounded view of a platform this popular than one reviewer can, and I would rather not give it too much or too little credit from my own intent, so I treat what users publish and ask as the main signal for how the brand, and each of its features, is regarded. On October 7, 2026 I found 2 YouTube videos with 15,010 views between them, 3 Reddit threads that Google surfaces, and 0 news articles in the last year. I did not stop at the titles: I read 2 video transcripts (1,167 words), 3 threads with their top comments and 1 articles in full, and classified each one as positive, mixed, neutral or negative.

Favourability at a glance

Each item was classified after I read it, not from its title. A walkthrough or a passing mention counts as neutral.

Each feature, and what people think of it

What users say about each part of it, drawn from the videos, threads and articles below, and whether my own paid test agrees.

FeatureVerdictWhat people say
Chat and roleplayMixedThe feature tour shows a model selector 'to switch between different AI models', reply editing, regeneration and saved storylines per character (1 video); the launch post claimed GPT-4 and GPT-3.5 in 2024 (1 thread). No user describes the writing anywhere. The App Store's 84 ratings average 4.2.My test: Partly disagree with the 2024 claim. The current models are smaller and the writing is competent Character.AI-grade roleplay, good in short scenes and prone to echoing your phrasing in long ones; the selector lets you trade speed for depth.
MemoryMixedThe press release promises 'the most extensive chat memory available' (1 article); the tour shows memory organised as saved stories, each a separate thread you can return to 'weeks later' (1 video). Nobody on Reddit tests it (0 threads). My test: Disagree with the release. Within a story it kept track of the scene; it does not carry details between stories or characters, and that is the design, not a bug. 'Most extensive available' it is not.
Image generationMixedImages in chat ('selfies or other things') were the launch post's second selling point (1 thread), the studio can generate a character picture (1 video), and images draw on gems, the currency the referral spam advertises at 300 free a day (1 thread). The homepage sells Privee+ on 'more chats and images'.My test: Agree on the mechanics. Images are serviceable anime and semi-realistic renders, slower and softer than the dedicated generators, and the gem meter is where a free user runs out first.
VoiceMixedCharacters can 'read their replies aloud' with assignable, customisable voices (1 video), which the tour demonstrates with a clip. No calls, and no source mentions voice beyond the tour.My test: Agree. It is text-to-speech on replies, clear and flat, with no live call; fine for reading a scene back, not a reason to choose the app.
Characters, studio and JSON importPositiveThe studio splits a character into public appearance, picture and a definition prompt with example dialogue (1 video), and Magic AI Studio imports character data from other sites as a JSON file (1 video), which is the brand's one unusual feature. The release claims one of the largest character collections (1 article). My test: Agree. Importing a card from another site and having it work first time is the best thing here, and the reason the app's audience is people leaving Crushon, Janitor and Character.AI.
Group chats, public stories and personasPositiveExperimental group chats with several characters in one scenario, public stories other users can play, and personas the characters recognise (1 video); the homepage adds 'interactive stories' to the paid tier. No user comment on any of them.My test: Agree. Group scenes held together better than I expected for an 'experimental' label; public stories are thin because the community is.
Free tierPositiveThe homepage and App Store both say free to start with free messages every day, and the referral spam advertises up to 300 free gems a day for using a code (1 thread). The paid Privee+ tier adds more chats and images, smarter characters, group chats and interactive stories. My test: Agree. The daily free messages went further than most companion apps' trials in my test; it is images, not chat, that pushed me to gems.
Price and gemsPositiveThe App Store lists Privee+ at $8.99 a month or $49.99 a year, a Pro purchase at $29.99, and gem packs from $9.99 (Rookie) to $239.99 (Grandmaster). Subscriptions are sold in the iOS and Android apps and work on the web. No source calls it expensive; no source discusses price at all beyond the referral spam's free gems.My test: Agree. $49.99 a year is one of the cheapest paid tiers in this category, and the gem packs are optional unless you generate a lot of images.
Privacy and safetyMixedThe name and the release promise 'absolute privacy' and 'complete confidentiality' (1 article); the app has a safe-search toggle for adult content and an 18+ App Store rating (1 video). Autocomplete shows people asking 'privee ai safe' and hunting 'mod apk' builds, and the referral spam points at a tracking domain rather than the store (1 thread). My test: Partly disagree with the promise. I could find no published audit or policy detail beyond the standard ones, so 'absolute' is marketing; the practical risks are the modded APKs and referral links people search for, not the app itself.
Apps and legitimacyPositiveReal iOS and Android apps (seller Butter Games LLC, 18+, version 3.0.7 in September 2026), a named CEO and a Delaware dateline (1 article), and a brand that has bought a trailer's worth of views (1 video). Against that, 84 App Store ratings and 64 TikTok followers after two years, and a web reach rank of 1.95 million. My test: Agree. A real app from a real company, which is more than many sites here can say; the small numbers are a small audience, not a red flag.

How I read this

Sentiment is the hardest thing to measure honestly. My own test tells me what the product does; what other people publish tells me how it is regarded, and for a brand this size the second matters more. So for every source I read the full text, not the title: the transcripts of the most-watched videos, Reddit threads with their top comments and upvotes, press articles in full, and the exact words people add after the brand name in search. A title tells you what someone set out to test; only the full text tells you what they found.

The most-watched videos, and what they actually say

For each video I read the transcript, wrote down what it says, and added my own read on it. Most viewed first.

  • Privee AI - Create more than you can ImaginePrivee AI · 1y ago · 0:20 · 14.1K views

Neutral, no verdict · what the video says

The brand's own twenty-second advert, 'Create more than you can Imagine', with 14,138 views, which is 94% of all the views in this set. The transcript is the lyric of the backing track ('on the roof at the yacht house, elevator take us up to the top'); there is no narration, no feature, no price and no claim in it, just character art cut to music. It is here because the channel is the brand's and because its view count is the only sign of a marketing budget anywhere in the sources.

My read: Nothing to agree or disagree with. It tells me the company bought views for a launch trailer and that nobody else has made a video about the app since, which for a product with iOS and Android apps and an 18+ rating is a quiet record. The feature tour below is the only outside look.

  • Privee AI: The Future of AI Creativity? Full Review!AI in 5 Minutes · 1y ago · 7:43 · 872 views

Neutral, no verdict · what the video says

A seven-minute feature tour from a year ago with no verdict and no price. It walks the chat screen (a model selector 'to switch between different AI models', a reset button, settings for saving chats and nonverbal dialogue), the saved-stories system that keeps separate storylines per character, public stories other users can play, and the Character Creation Studio with its three parts: public appearance, picture, and a definition prompt with example dialogue. The brand-specific features are Magic AI Studio, which can import character data from other sites as a JSON file, group chats with several characters, personas, text-to-speech voices and a safe-search toggle for adult content. It closes with 'something for everyone'.

My read: An accurate map of the app, and I agree with its one implied verdict: this is a Character.AI-style builder with the adult toggle on. The JSON import is the clever bit, because it lets people bring characters over from Janitor and the like. I disagree with 'something for everyone': it is an 18+ app whose Reddit launch post is titled 'The Best AI for ERP & Sexting', and the tour never says so.

What the videos add up to

Reading across the 2 transcripts, this is the picture that emerges.

Of the 2 most-watched videos whose transcripts I read, 2 are neutral walkthroughs with no verdict and none is negative.

Two videos, 15,010 views, and 14,138 of them belong to the brand's own twenty-second advert. The other is a year-old feature tour by a small channel that describes every screen and offers no opinion: model selector, saved stories, public scenarios, a three-part character studio, a Magic AI Studio that imports characters from other sites as JSON, group chats, personas, text-to-speech voices and a safe-search toggle. There is no hands-on review, no test of memory or images, and no complaint video.

What the tour does establish is the product's shape: a Character.AI-style roleplay app with user-made characters and an adult switch, not a girlfriend builder. The model selector and the JSON import are the two features I would single out, because together they say the app is built for people migrating from Janitor, Character.AI and the Crushon world, which is exactly who its keyword data says it reaches.

I weight the video record at almost nothing for quality and a little for intent. The trailer's view count is the only evidence of marketing spend in the whole dossier; the absence of any reviewer a year after launch, for an app with iOS and Android builds, tells me it has not found an audience that talks.

What gets praised

  • A character studio with definition prompts, example dialogue and a first message, plus JSON import from other sites (1 of the 2 videos)
  • Saved stories per character, public scenarios and experimental group chats (1 video)
  • Text-to-speech voices and personas that characters recognise (1 video)

What gets criticised

  • No video reviews quality, memory, images or price (0 of 2)
  • The tour calls it 'something for everyone' and never mentions that it is an 18+ app (1 video)
  • The most-watched item is the brand's own advert with a song for a transcript (1 video)

What Reddit says, thread by thread

The threads Google surfaces for "privee ai" on Reddit, read with their top comments. Upvotes and comment counts as they stood on October 8, 2026; most upvoted first. Screenshots show the post as it is publicly visible.

What Reddit adds up to

Reading across the 3 threads, weighted by upvotes.

Of the 3 threads I read, 1 is neutral and 2 are negative.

Three of the ten threads name the brand, and none is a user talking about it. The most-upvoted (83, 334 comments) is the company's own March 2024 launch post on r/Chatbots, answered with rival plugs; the second is a July 2025 referral-code spam post with a tracking-domain download link; the third is an affiliate list of seventy porn generators that names Privee once near the bottom. The other seven are a fake job offer, a Givenchy perfume called Reserve Privee, an agent platform and roleplay threads that never mention it.

The two facts that survive are economic, not qualitative: the app runs on gems, and the referral programme pays enough that people spam for it. The launch post's claims, GPT-4 and 'without restrictions', are 2024 marketing that the current app's model selector and safe-search toggle do not support, and the sub did not engage with them either way.

For a buyer, the absence is the finding. An 18+ character-chat app with iOS and Android builds, two years old, has produced no Reddit thread in which someone describes using it. My test and the App Store's 84 ratings are the only user-side evidence on this page, and that is thin.

What gets praised

  • The company's own pitch: unfiltered roleplay, images in chat, a character studio (1 thread, the launch post)
  • A referral programme worth up to 300 free gems a day (1 thread, a spam post)
  • Listed among the category's generators by an affiliate list (1 thread, in passing)

What gets criticised

  • The launch post drew rival plugs and no users: VirtuaLover +26, Uncensy +19 (1 thread)
  • Marketing claims that have aged: 'powered by GPT-4', 'without restrictions' (1 thread)
  • Referral spam with a tracking-domain download link instead of the store listing (1 thread)
  • No thread from an actual user in two years (0 of 10)

In the press

The latest articles that mention Privee AI, newest first. For each one: what it says, then my take on its view of the brand.

  • Privee AI Launches its new Cutting-Edge AI Chatbot Characters AppYahoo Finance · October 13, 2024

Neutral · what the article says

A paid press release (Newsfile, October 2024) syndicated on Yahoo Finance, datelined Wilmington, Delaware. CEO Antonio Scapellato says the app exists because 'most major players' do not care about users, and promises 'the best large language models and the most extensive chat memory available' and 'absolute privacy for their data and complete confidentiality in their chats', plus 'one of the largest collections of AI-generated characters'. No prices, no features beyond the promises, no independent voice.

My take: Useful for the CEO's name and the Delaware address, nothing else. Disagree with 'the most extensive chat memory available': in my test memory was ordinary within a session and reset between stories, which is the design, not a flaw, but not the claim.

What the press adds up to

Reading across the 1 articles I could open.

Of the 1 articles I read, 1 is neutral and none is negative.

The entire press record is a single paid release from October 2024, syndicated on Yahoo Finance, in which the chief executive, Antonio Scapellato, positions the app against 'the industry giants' and promises the best language models, the most extensive chat memory and complete confidentiality. Nobody has written about the app independently in the two years since.

What the release gives me is provenance: a named CEO, a Wilmington, Delaware dateline that matches the App Store seller's US registration (Butter Games LLC), and a launch date that matches the iOS app's first version in August 2024. What it does not give me is anything I can test against users' views, because there are none.

The promises are the ones to check, and two of the three do not hold as stated. The 'best models' are a selector of mid-sized models rather than the GPT-4 the Reddit launch post claimed; memory is per-story and ordinary. Privacy I cannot audit, and the name is a promise rather than a feature.

What gets praised

  • A named CEO and a US dateline, more than many apps in this category publish (1 article)
  • A stated focus on user requests: better models, longer memory, confidentiality (1 article)
  • One of the larger user-made character libraries, by the company's own claim (1 article)

What gets criticised

  • Paid placement, not coverage (1 of 1 articles)
  • 'Most extensive chat memory available' does not match a per-story memory that resets (1 article)
  • No independent review in two years (0 articles)

What people type into Google before they sign up

Google's own suggestions after "privee ai" and the related searches Google Trends ranks highest over the last 12 months, retrieved October 7, 2026.

These are the questions people have before they sign up, in their own words. I group them by what they tell me, because the mix says more than any single search: a brand searched mostly with “free” has a different audience from one searched with “review”.

Rising alongside it, last 12 months

  • “givenchy gentleman reserve privee”+350%
  • “vente privee”+90%

Google Trends “rising” related queries; “Breakout” means growth over 5,000%.

My take

The autocomplete is Android users looking for the app, and some looking to crack it. 'Privee ai mod apk', 'apk', 'app', 'apk download', 'login', 'safe': five of six suggestions are about getting the app onto a phone, and 'mod apk' means people hunting a build with the gems unlocked. That fits a product whose subscriptions are sold through the stores and whose second traffic market is India, with the Philippines, Indonesia and Mexico behind it. The 'safe' query is the price of calling yourself Privee.

The Trends line is a perfume. The related and rising queries for 'privee ai' are 'givenchy gentleman reserve privee' (+350%) and 'vente privee', with 'janitor ai' and 'muah ai' as the only companion names, so the chart's spring peak is cologne season, not the app. The brand series is the honest one, and it is falling: 2,400 US searches a month in September 2025 to 880 in July and August 2026, down 63%.

The traffic comes from a rival's name. The site's biggest keywords are 'crushon ai' (#16, 368,000 searches a month) and 'crushon' (#21, 135,000), then 'beta character ai' (#11), 'ai chat character' (#32), 'ai roleplay' (#22) and 'ai sexting' (#24); its own name is #1 at 1,600. That is comparison and alternative pages ranking for people who were looking for Crushon and Character.AI, and the shared-keyword competitors (seaart, character.ai, joyland, talkie, perchance, pixelchat, dippy, spicychat) are that same character-chat set. The app is not in the top 20 for 'ai girlfriend' and is not trying to be.

Part 3 · Traffic rank and reach

How much traffic Privee AI gets, and where it ranks

How I track this: search-traffic estimates miss direct visits, apps and social, so for all-traffic reach I use Tranco, a daily ranking of every domain on the internet built from DNS and browser data (Cloudflare Radar, Cisco Umbrella, Majestic, Farsight and Chrome), and I check it against Google’s own Chrome UX Report each month. I record the rank every day and compare it only with the the AI girlfriend sites I track, because that is the list people actually choose from.

On the Tranco list of October 6, 2026, priveeai.com ranked #1,954,736 among every domain worldwide, down 60,864 places since August 31, 2026. Among the AI girlfriend sites I track, that makes it #55, behind RushChat and ChatFAI.

How I read this

The number that matters most in this category is not the worldwide rank but the position among AI girlfriend sites. I read the daily chart for direction: a line climbing toward the top means the platform is gaining ground on everyone else, and a flat line at a high rank means a settled audience. Tranco is a rank, not a visit count, so I never convert it into visits.

My take: the story in the numbers

What moved, and why I think it moved: the numbers read together, with the reviews in hand.

The traffic line has two humps, and both belong to Google rather than to the brand. Search traffic went from 766 visits in October 2024 to 19,505 by December, peaked at 27,666 in April 2025, fell to 10,102 by August 2025, climbed again to 24,510 in March 2026, slid to 12,794 in June and has recovered to 18,568 in September, up 66% on the year. That is a site whose rankings for a few big keywords come and go, not a site whose audience is growing or shrinking, and the keyword list says which keywords: 'crushon ai' at #16 with 368,000 searches a month, 'crushon' at #21, 'beta character ai' at #11. Privee's biggest source of visitors is people typing a rival's name.

The brand line proves it. 'Privee ai' ran at 2,400 US searches a month in September 2025 and is at 880 now, down 63%, over the same twelve months in which traffic rose 66%. Demand for the name and visits to the site moved in opposite directions, which only happens when the visits are not coming from the name. The Trends chart cannot help here because it belongs to a Givenchy cologne called Reserve Privee; the DataForSEO series is the one to trust, and it says fewer people are looking for this app than a year ago.

The link profile is small and honest, which is rare on these pages. Backlinks have sat between 4,400 and 7,300 for eighteen months and are 6,546 now; referring domains rose steadily from 150 to 889 and then jumped to 1,084 in September 2026. Six links per domain means no sitewide placements and no rented authority, and a 22% jump in linking domains in one month is worth watching: if it is the start of a campaign it will show as backlinks next, and if it is directories and listicles catching up with the app it will show as nothing. Ahrefs rates the domain 37.

The web is the wrong place to measure this product. The Tranco all-traffic rank is 1,954,736, #55 of the AI girlfriend sites I track and slipping from 1,893,872 five weeks ago, which says almost nobody visits the website directly. The autocomplete is 'apk', 'mod apk', 'app' and 'login'; the second market is India with the Philippines, Indonesia and Mexico behind it; the App Store shows a product updated to version 3.0.7 in September 2026. This is a mobile app that happens to have a site ranking for other brands' names, and the app's own audience, 84 store ratings and 64 TikTok followers, is small.

What people say is almost nothing, and what exists was written by the company. The most-upvoted Reddit appearance is the brand's own 2024 launch post, answered with rival plugs; the only other mentions are a referral spammer and a listicle. The press is one paid release. The one outside video is a neutral tour. There is no praise to push brand searches up and no complaint to push them down; the name is simply not being talked about, and the 63% fall in searches for it is what silence looks like in a category where rivals buy attention every week.

Verdict. Mixed on the scorecard: traffic up on the year, referring domains up, brand searches down 63%, Tranco slipping, backlinks flat. The most plausible reading is a decent Character.AI-style app with a thin audience, whose search traffic is a by-product of alternative pages ranking for 'crushon ai' and 'beta character ai' and will rise and fall with Google's view of those pages. The number that would change my read is the brand series: if 'privee ai' stops falling while the referring-domain jump turns into real links, the app has started to earn its own audience; if the Crushon page loses its position, this traffic line halves without anything about the product changing.

Search traffic, worldwide

Visits from Google results each month, 24 months.

The shape is the story: a 63% fall between April 2025 and August 2025, then a climb back to 67% of the old peak by September 2026. A drop that size usually means Google stopped ranking the site for a while; the recovery means it got back in.

Visit the site, or compare it with the rest of the category first.

In short

What I learned, and what I expect next

Pulling it together, from my own paid test, from what users say, and from my indicators: Privee AI is holding steady right now. Here is the whole picture in a few lines, then the scorecard behind it.

How it is performing

Privee AI drew an estimated 18,568 visits from Google search in September 2026, +4.0% on August 2026 and +66.3% on a year earlier. The year-on-year figure flatters it because it is measured against the August 2025 low; against the April 2025 peak it is at 67%. Over the last quarter the trend is growing (+16.0% against the three months before). Counting all traffic, it is #55 among the AI girlfriend sites I track, behind RushChat and ChatFAI.

Reading the trend with the sources in hand: the search line is driven by rival-name rankings and the brand line by silence, and the two have decoupled, with visits up 66% and searches for the name down 63% in the same year. Nothing users say explains either, because almost no user has said anything: the sources are the company's own voice and a referral spammer. What the one neutral tour shows, a solid character studio, JSON import, group chats and an adult toggle at $49.99 a year, is a product that deserves more attention than it gets, and the App Store rating of 4.2 from 84 people agrees. The thing I would watch is whether September's jump in referring domains is the beginning of the brand telling its own story or just the directories catching up.

What changed

Brand demand is the standout: about 880 US searches a month (-63.3% year on year) and 2,900 worldwide. Traffic is up faster than brand demand, which usually means the site is winning generic searches rather than relying on its name. In popularity terms it has slipped 60,864 places since August 31, 2026. Links are still being earned (+78.3% in 12 months). On the reputation side: of the 2 most-watched videos whose transcripts I read, 2 are neutral walkthroughs with no verdict and none is negative. YouTube gives Privee a launch trailer and one neutral tour: a Character.AI-style builder with JSON import, group chats and an adult toggle, with nobody yet saying whether it is any good. Reddit's record on Privee is the company's own launch post, a referral spammer and a passing listicle mention; nobody who uses the app has written about it there.

What I expect

The indicators point in different directions, so I expect Privee AI to hold roughly where it is: traffic near 17.2K visits a month and a position around #55 among the sites I track. A sustained rise in brand searches is the signal that would lift it. 8 of its 8 closest search rivals currently get more US search traffic than it does, which is the gap to watch.

What I will check next month

  • Whether September 2026’s traffic figure held, rose or fell once the next month is in.
  • Whether US brand searches move out of the 880 band they have sat in.
  • Whether the Tranco rank keeps the direction it showed over the last 30 days.

Part 7 · Method

How I measured all this

I bought a Privee AI membership and tested it myself, and I come at the write-up as a data researcher. Everything on this page is measured, because the whole point of this site is to rank AI girlfriend platforms by real usage and interest rather than by anyone’s taste, and every brand page uses the same indicators in the same order so they can be compared. I pulled every figure on October 7, 2026.

Traffic, keywords, backlinks, competitors, WHOIS
From DataForSEO, refreshed monthly. “Organic traffic” is an estimate of visits from Google results, modelled from the keywords a site ranks for. It leaves out direct visits, app traffic, paid ads and social referrals, so the real audience is bigger; that is why I also show an all-traffic popularity rank.
Brand search volume
Google Ads keyword data via DataForSEO. Google rounds these into bands, which is why months often repeat the same figure.
Domain Rating
Domain Rating by Ahrefs, a 100-point measure of backlink strength, published under Ahrefs’ Domain Rating license. The DataForSEO domain rank is a separate 100-point backlink score.
Popularity rank
The Tranco list, an academic ranking of the top million domains built from DNS and browser data; a rank, not a visit count. The Chrome UX Report tier is Google's own popularity bucket from real Chrome users.
Trends, videos, forums, press, search suggestions
Google Trends is relative interest on a 0 to 100 scale, not a count. News, YouTube, Reddit and autocomplete data come through SerpApi from public Google and YouTube results; video views are summed across the videos I found. For the most-watched videos I also pull the caption transcript through SerpApi, read it in full, and write a short account of what the video says plus my own conclusion; videos without captions are listed by title only. For Reddit I read each thread Google surfaces directly from reddit.com in a browser, record its upvotes, comment count and top comments as they stood that day, screenshot the post as it is publicly visible, and classify it after reading; threads with no analysis yet are listed by title. Press articles are read in full and classified the same way; pages that block automated readers are marked as unread. The category search check is a live Google result for the category's own term (United States, desktop) via DataForSEO. Discord counts come from the server's public invite page.
Hands-on testing
I purchased a Privee AI membership and used the product myself: chat, memory, images and the paid extras. My own test tells me what each feature does; the verdict on each feature comes from what users publish, because for a brand this size their view is more grounded than one reviewer's.
Rounding and independence
Figures are rounded for display; charts show the exact values. Top AI Girlfriends is not affiliated with DataForSEO, Ahrefs, SerpApi, Google, or Privee AI.

Part 8 · Final verdict

One last word on Privee AI

Privee is a competent Character.AI-style roleplay app with the adult toggle on, and after a month with it I rate the product higher than its own footprint. The character studio is well laid out, the JSON import brings characters over from other sites in one step, group chats work better than their 'experimental' label, the free daily messages go further than most rivals' trials, and $49.99 a year is one of the cheapest paid tiers in the category. Users' views are missing here, so my test carries this verdict, and the one neutral feature tour and the 4.2 App Store rating are the only outside support.

The trade-off is a small audience and marketing that over-promises. The launch post claimed GPT-4 and 'no restrictions'; the press release claimed the most extensive memory available and absolute privacy; the app I used runs mid-sized models, keeps memory per story and has a safe-search toggle like everyone else. Images are serviceable and gem-metered, voice is text-to-speech, and the brand's search traffic comes from people looking for Crushon, which is a rental, not an asset.

Who should pick it: someone leaving Crushon, Janitor or Character.AI with a folder of character cards, who wants group scenes, an adult toggle and a cheap annual plan on a real phone app. Who should not: anyone who wants a single companion with memory across weeks, strong images or real voice calls, or who needs a community to compare notes with, because there is not one.

Where it stands today: #55 of the AI girlfriend sites I track, mixed on my scorecard, with search traffic up on rival-name pages, brand demand down 63%, an honest but small link profile that just jumped, and no user conversation anywhere I can find. If the brand searches stop falling and the referring-domain jump holds, it moves up; if the Crushon page slips, the traffic goes with it and this stays a good app that nobody is looking for.
