Linky

An AI girlfriend site: what it offers, what people say, and the numbers.

I bought a Linky membership and tested it myself. Then I built a data-tracked profile of linke.ai, refreshed monthly. Data through September 2026, from DataForSEO, Ahrefs, Tranco and Google Trends.

I bought a Linky membership and tested it myself, feature by feature. I’m an AI girlfriend enthusiast and a data researcher, and both shape every page on this site: my own test tells me what the product does, but I don’t grade Linky on my feel alone.

I weigh what its users publish, and I track it the way an analyst tracks a market, with a fixed set of indicators that show how big a platform is, whether it is growing or fading, and how it compares with every other AI girlfriend site I follow.

This page answers three questions in order: what you get, what people are saying, and what the numbers show. Part 1 comes from my own paid test and Linky’s feature list and pricing, Part 2 from the videos, Reddit threads and press I read in full, and Parts 3 and 4 from traffic and search data. That is also how I rank the best AI girlfriend sites: tested first-hand, then judged by what users say and by the numbers.

Part 1 · What it offers

What Linky offers

Linky (linke.ai) is an adult AI girlfriend platform: you create or pick a companion and talk to it, with voice on top of text chat. I bought a membership and tested it myself; this is what it offers, and Part 2 is what users say about each part of it.

Features
Anime and realistic character library, Character creator with 2D, Live2D, pixel and 3D styles, Plot cards and story unlocks, Voice replies and voice-to-text, Group chats with several characters, Buzz feed with real users, Spicy, romance, fantasy and fan-club tabs, Android app and web version
Free tier
The free tier is ad-supported text chat with a message allowance that runs out within a session unless you watch ads, a few daily coins, and a memory that fades after about a dozen exchanges; card draws, image unlocks and gifts cost coins.
Plans
1 Month: $9.99 · 3 Months: $24.99 ($8.33 / month) · 12 Months: $89.99 ($7.50 / month)
Extras
Those are Linky Pro prices from the in-app paywall captured in 2024; Linky Gold is $17.99 a month or $39.99 a quarter, and a mid-2026 review quotes premium at $17 a month or $109 a year. Coins ($1.99 for 180 up to $99.99 for 14,200) cover card draws, image unlocks and gifts; Pro adds 30 coins a day.
Operator
Skywork AI Pte. Ltd., Singapore, since 2023 (the linke.ai domain was registered on 29 June 2023); domain registered June 2023
Best for
Anime-style character chat and roleplay on a phone, with a creator that turns a short description into a character in a minute and group chats to put them together.
Not for
Anyone who needs a companion that remembers, a free tier without ads, a desktop-first product, or who will be tempted by the coin-priced human profiles.

Features and prices from the platform’s own pages; operator from press coverage (Google Play listing, Adapty paywall capture (2024), RoboRhythms review (2026), CompanionCompare, DNS registration record). Official site and social accounts are listed at the end of the page.

Part 2 · What people say

What people say about Linky

I bought a membership and tested Linky myself, but I don’t take my own word for it. Many users have a more grounded view of a platform this popular than one reviewer can, and I would rather not give it too much or too little credit from my own intent, so I treat what users publish and ask as the main signal for how the brand, and each of its features, is regarded. On October 7, 2026 I found 5 YouTube videos with 298,127 views between them, 5 Reddit threads that Google surfaces, and 0 news articles in the last year. I did not stop at the titles: I read 5 video transcripts (6,856 words), 5 threads with their top comments, and classified each one as positive, mixed, neutral or negative.

Favourability at a glance

Each item was classified after I read it, not from its title. A walkthrough or a passing mention counts as neutral.

Each feature, and what people think of it

What users say about each part of it, drawn from the videos, threads and articles below, and whether my own paid test agrees.

FeatureVerdictWhat people say
Chat and roleplayMixedThe sponsored host called the replies 'surprisingly realistic' and the comedian's character held an absurd storyline without breaking (2 of the 5 videos); Reddit commenters say it feels 'as if a person's typing'. A mid-2026 review lists the other side: storyline drift, misgendering, and a bug that calls every user 'Alex'.My test: Agree. Short scenes land and the characters ad-lib well; past twenty messages the plot drifts, and my character's name slipped once in my test.
MemoryNegativeNone of the videos tests it, and the two 2026 reviews I read are blunt: memory 'fades after roughly 12 exchanges' on the free tier, characters forget names and plot points, and a June 2026 update deleted conversation histories for many users without warning. My test: Agree. The weakest part of my month: a detail given early in a session was gone by the end of it, and the 'expanded memory' Pro promises stretched that, it did not fix it.
Cards and story unlocksMixedLinky's own idea: plot cards that drop mid-chat and 'intimate moments' sold as card draws. The sponsored video enjoyed the plot card; the comedian was offered 15 intimate moments twelve minutes in and called it 'sketchier than an NFT'; a 2026 review calls the card system 'a genuinely fresh idea'.My test: Partly disagree with 'fresh'. The cards are a coin sink dressed as a story reward: draws were the main thing my coins went on, and the stories inside them were a few lines long.
Images and photo unlocksMixedCharacter portraits are generated at creation and the sponsored host got three good ones from a description. The locked images are the complaint: coin-priced unlocks pushed early (1 video), and on the human side of the app men pay 1,000 to 3,000 coins to open a profile's photos (1 thread). My test: Agree. Portraits are good and fast; the locked 'moments' are where coins go, and I would not pay coins to open a stranger's photos at all.
VoicePositiveThe comedian found the voice replies the surprise of his test ('this voice is insane') and the overview video credits the voices with making characters seem to react (2 videos). Voice-to-text worked for dictating replies. Nobody mentions voice calls. My test: Agree. Better than an app this cheap has any right to be, with the comedian's caveat that lines sometimes start a word in.
Characters and customisationPositiveThe creator is the feature every video rates: a description and an optional reference image, then species, profession, personality and looks, and the app generates portraits to pick from (2 videos). Google's AI Overview adds 2D, Live2D, pixel and 3D styles. The library is huge and searchable by franchise name, which is also the licensing problem Reddit raises. My test: Agree. The best thing in the app: a usable character in under two minutes, and group chats with several of them in the Define tab.
Free tier and adsNegativeAn ad before the first message, ads to refill messages, and a free allowance that ran out mid-scene in the only independent video; the 2026 reviews add heavy ad density, ads that freeze the app, and memory that collapses after about a dozen free messages. My test: Agree. The free tier is an ad channel with a chat attached: the allowance ran out within a session and every refill was an ad.
Price, coins and ProMixedNo pricing page: the in-app paywall captured in 2024 lists Linky Pro at $9.99 a month, $24.99 a quarter or $89.99 a year, and Linky Gold at $17.99 a month, with coin packs from $1.99 to $99.99; a mid-2026 review quotes premium at $17 a month or $109 a year. The sponsored video sells Pro for its free coins and draws; a 2026 review calls the coin economy 'expensive and opaque'.My test: Partly disagree with 'opaque'. The prices are visible; what is hard to see is how fast coins go, because draws and unlocks are priced in coins and the packs in dollars.
Content filterMixedSold as the unfiltered alternative to Character AI (1 video), with a Spicy tab on the home screen (1 video). The 2026 reviews say filtering has tightened and a 'passion mode' was removed, and a Reddit commenter says the App Store removal cost them the ability to make characters 'slap themselves'.My test: Agree that it has tightened. Spicy scenes still run, but the app steers them toward coin-priced unlocks rather than text, and the hard refusals arrived sooner than the 2024 videos suggest.
Privacy and safetyNegativeA Reddit poster called it a virus and the replies disagreed; the tutorial warns chat history is lost without a login, and a June 2026 update deleted histories for many users. Google's AI Overview cites Australia's eSafety Commissioner guide, a 2026 review scores safety 33 out of 100, and the human profiles on the Buzz layer are described as catfish selling coin-priced photos. My test: Partly disagree with the virus claim: the Android build added nothing to my phone, and others in that thread say the same. The real risk is the Buzz layer, where the stranger you are chatting with earns coins when you unlock.

How I read this

Sentiment is the hardest thing to measure honestly. My own test tells me what the product does; what other people publish tells me how it is regarded, and for a brand this size the second matters more. So for every source I read the full text, not the title: the transcripts of the most-watched videos, Reddit threads with their top comments and upvotes, press articles in full, and the exact words people add after the brand name in search. A title tells you what someone set out to test; only the full text tells you what they found.

The most-watched videos, and what they actually say

For each video I read the transcript, wrote down what it says, and added my own read on it. Most viewed first.

  • I made him get on his knees and.. 🤫 | playing linky for the first timeTurnerNextDoor · 2y ago · 16:51 · 228K views

Positive · what the video says

A sponsored first play from a comedy channel, and the most-watched brand video by a wide margin. The host picks tags at onboarding, argues with a boyfriend character called Kale in a hospital scenario, and is handed a 'plot card' letter mid-chat that narrates the reconciliation. A stepmom character turns the scene sexual within two messages. The part he rates is the creator: a few insulting lines and a reference photo produce a Jennifer Lopez parody whose replies he calls 'surprisingly realistic'. It ends with a pitch for Linky Pro (free coins, free card draws, faster avatar creation, more characters) and an affiliate link.

My read: Paid for, and still useful on one point. The creator really is the best thing in the app; mine turned a description into a usable character in under two minutes, which matches his JLo test. I disagree with the Pro pitch as framed: the perks he lists are coins and draws, which is the app selling you its own currency, not better chat.

  • Linky App: Messing With Step Mom Gone Wrong #linky #linkyapp #aichatbotFExd · 2y ago · 1:03 · 40.3K views

Positive · what the video says

A 63-second promotional clip. It opens by complaining that Character AI 'can control your chats' with its guidelines, offers Linky as 'another better alternative', and then shows a stepmom character threatening to punish the user before cutting to 'download Linky now, link in the description'. There is no test and no price, just the framing that Linky is where you go when Character AI's filter gets in the way.

My read: The pitch is 'unfiltered', and here I disagree with it. Spicy scenes run, but the app steers them toward coin-priced unlocks rather than text, and two 2026 sources say the filter has tightened and a 'passion mode' was removed. The clip's 40,000 views say the Character AI refugee is who Linky markets to.

  • I Tried to Roleplay with an INSANE AI Companion Bot... | Linky AIObscure Nerd · 1y ago · 10:31 · 19.8K views

Mixed · what the video says

A comedian's unsponsored ten minutes with the app. He finds a library that is 'basically just sexually suggestive anime girls', gets served an ad before he has sent a message, then roleplays a storm-and-fuse-box scene with a coworker character whose voice replies impress him. Twelve minutes in the app offers '15 intimate moments' as paid card unlocks, which he calls 'sketchier than an NFT'. The free message allowance runs out mid-scene with a choice of ads or Linky Pro or Gold. His verdict: 'a pretty capable app as far as these go', voice works, but it 'inundated you with ads and requests to spend money on images'.

My read: The only independent test in the set, and the one I agree with most. The character stayed in his absurd murder-confession bit without breaking, the voice was better than the price suggests, and the ads and coin prompts arrived exactly as he describes. His 'standard, well-designed chatbot app' is the fairest one-line summary I have read.

  • Linky AI Chat App Tutorial || The Only Linky AI Tutorial You Need.Tutorials by Hannah · 2y ago · 8:16 · 8.5K views

Neutral, no verdict · what the video says

An eight-minute walkthrough of the iOS app with no opinion. Onboarding asks your age band, preferred gender, tags and art styles. The home feed is split into Spicy, LGBTQ, Romance, Fantasy, Adventure, Realistic, Text Game, ACG and Fan Club, and search by name finds franchise characters such as Katara from Avatar. You must log in or your chat history can be lost. Creating an 'AI mate' means choosing species (human, werewolf, vampire, furry), profession, personality and looks, or uploading a reference image, and the Define tab holds group chats with several characters at once.

My read: A tour, not a verdict, and accurate to the app I used. Two details matter more than they look: the warning that chat history is lost without a login, which foreshadows the 2026 history-wipe complaints, and the franchise characters by name, which is the licensing question the Hololive thread on Reddit raises.

  • Linky AI App Review 2025 | How Does Linky AI Chat App Work?How To Tutor · 9mo ago · 2:12 · 2.0K views

Positive · what the video says

A two-minute overview that reads like a script written from the store listing: animated anime characters with 'distinct personality and vibe', real-time replies, voices that make the character seem to react, and a use case list that runs from roleplay to brainstorming and summaries. Its one caveat is that Linky 'might not replace more powerful AI tools for deep technical research'. No price, no complaint, no evidence of use.

My read: Generic praise with nothing I can check. Nothing in it is wrong, and nothing in it required opening the app; the summaries and brainstorming use case is a stretch for a product whose home feed is labelled Spicy. I weight it at zero.

What the videos add up to

Reading across the 5 transcripts, this is the picture that emerges.

Of the 5 most-watched videos whose transcripts I read, 3 are positive, 1 is mixed, 1 is a neutral walkthrough with no verdict and none is negative.

Five of the eight videos the search returned are about the app; the other three are a children's exercise channel called Miss Linky with 12 million views between them, which I removed. Of the five, one is sponsored, one is a promotional short with an affiliate link, one is a generic overview, one is a tutorial, and one (the comedian's) is an unsponsored test.

Where they agree: the character library is huge and skews sexual, the creator turns a short description into a character in a minute, and voice replies work better than the price suggests. The sponsored host found the replies 'surprisingly realistic'; the comedian found the character held his absurd story without breaking.

Where the one independent test differs is money: ads before the first message, a free message allowance that ends mid-scene, and paid 'intimate moments' card unlocks pitched twelve minutes in. The sponsored video presents the same coins and card draws as perks of Linky Pro. Same features, opposite framing, and that gap is the whole story of this app.

What gets praised

  • Breadth of the character library and categories (4 of the 5 videos)
  • The character creator: description or reference image to a usable character in a minute (2 videos)
  • Replies stay in character and feel realistic (2 videos)
  • Voice replies work and sound better than expected (2 videos)

What gets criticised

  • Ads before the first message and ads to refill messages (1 video, the only independent one)
  • Free message allowance runs out mid-conversation (1 video)
  • Paid image unlocks and card draws pushed early, 'sketchier than an NFT' (1 video; the sponsored video sells the same draws as a Pro perk)
  • The library is 'basically just sexually suggestive anime girls' (1 video)
  • Three of the five brand videos are sponsored, affiliate or generic rather than tests (3 videos)

    r/badads · u/SigLovesCarbuncle · August 26, 2024 · 8 upvotes · 4 comments · open on Reddit

Negative · what the thread says

A screenshot of a Linky ad posted to r/badads with the title 'trying to be PolyAI so badly', eight upvotes and four comments. The replies are about the ad, not the app: one hates the character's haircut, one says Linky copied ads that were already bad and complains that AI chat app advertising is as awful as the AI job-loss panic, and the thread drifts into a digression about an influencer. Nobody in it has used the product.

“They tried to copy the already shitty ads?!” — u/FSsuxxon, +2

My read: A thread about marketing, and I agree with its premise. Linky's ads are near-copies of PolyBuzz's, and PolyBuzz, Talkie and Character AI are the sites it shares the most keywords with. That tells you which market it is in: mobile character-chat apps, not the web AI girlfriend sites it is listed beside here.

  • Screenshot of the Reddit post "About Linky "

    r/AITAH · u/[deleted] · April 22, 2024 · 5 upvotes · 67 comments · open on Reddit

Mixed · what the thread says

A long warning post: the poster installed Linky, chatted for ten minutes, and found apps they never installed on their phone, so they call the app a virus. The 67 replies mostly do not buy it. Two users say their copy is 'perfectly fine', one praises the replies as intuitive and defends Linky as the place Character AI's NSFW users went, one says a character 'responded as if a person's typing', and one says the app was removed from the Apple store, 'now I can't make characters slap themselves'.

“what linky did u download dawg because mine is perfectly fine” — u/Empty_Top_269, +2

My read: I disagree with the virus claim. The Android build I installed added nothing to my phone, and the commenters who checked say the same; the likelier culprit is an ad network on the poster's device. The replies are the useful record: an app people reached after Character AI's NSFW ban, and an App Store removal that the dead listing I tried this week seems to confirm.

  • r/aigirls · u/DPH_entityReview on Linky AI appIt's apparently ranked #1 for popularity for talking to AI companions. But you can talk to both AI and humans on this app. The "humans" however are all catfish and scammers with mostly fake photos. They try to get you to buy photos of them including NSFW photos which cost twice as much. People message you as soon as you create an account, before you even upload your own photo. The males can't even send back NSFW photos only "women" can do that. For women opening photos is free and whereas for men it costs 1000-3000 coins to open their photos. They get 500 diamonds when men open their photos which is how they make money. Gifts are a lot more expensive for men too and they get money when men buy them gifts. And it costs to message and call these "human females". This app was made to steal money from men. This is completely immoral. Apparently there are a lot of similar apps like this. Negative · what the thread says

A February 2026 review of the human side of the app. Linky lets you chat with AI characters and with real users, and the poster says the 'human' profiles are catfish who message you the moment you create an account and push paid photos. Opening their photos costs men 1,000 to 3,000 coins while women open them free, the photo sellers earn diamonds per unlock, gifts cost men more, and messaging or calling the human profiles costs coins. The poster calls the design immoral and 'made to steal money from men'.

“For women opening photos is free and whereas for men it costs 1000-3000 coins to open their photos.” — u/DPH_entity, +1

My read: One upvote, and the most specific complaint on this page. I agree with the mechanics: the Buzz layer is a coin marketplace where strangers earn when you unlock, and I was messaged before I had a photo up. I would not call the whole app a scam, since the AI characters are a separate product; treat the human profiles as paid chat lines and skip them.

  • Screenshot of the Reddit post "Chat App Dialogue Writer - Linky AI"

    r/remotework · u/LogicalAd4088 · February 4, 2025 · 0 upvotes · 0 comments · open on Reddit

Neutral · what the thread says

A one-line question from someone who saw a LinkedIn listing for a 'Chat App Dialogue Writer' at Linky AI with no pay posted, asking if anyone has experience with the company. No replies, no upvotes, and nothing about the product, but it is the only thread on Reddit that treats Linky as an employer rather than an app, and it confirms the company pays people to write the characters' opening scenes.

“I saw a listing on linked in for a Chat App Dialogue Writer for Linky AI - no pay posted...does anyone have any experience?” — u/LogicalAd4088, +0

My read: No answer, but a useful fact. The company hires people to write character dialogue, which is consistent with how scripted the opening scenes feel: the stepmom and hospital scenarios in the videos read like authored prompts, and the ad-libbing starts after them.

  • Screenshot of the Reddit post "Did cover corp give permission to Linky to use gawr gura in the ad. "

    r/Hololive · u/Ok-Dot964 · June 14, 2024 · 0 upvotes · 25 comments · open on Reddit

Negative · what the thread says

A Hololive fan asks whether Cover Corp gave Linky permission to use Gawr Gura in an ad and how to report it. The top reply (+115) answers the question with a question: 'You're asking if an ai-chatbot company asked for permission to use ai-generated artwork for promo purposes?' Others say report it to Cover and move on, that it is AI-generated Gura, and that these companies never ask anyone.

“You're asking if an ai-chatbot company asked for permission to use ai-generated artwork for promo purposes?” — u/No_Landscape_6386, +115

My read: The most upvoted comment about Linky anywhere on Reddit, and it is about an ad. I agree with the fans: the tutorial video shows franchise characters searchable by name inside the app, so the licensing question is not limited to the advertising. It is the reputational risk of this product, and it is one the company controls.

What Reddit adds up to

Reading across the 5 threads, weighted by upvotes.

Of the 5 threads I read, 1 is mixed, 1 is neutral and 3 are negative.

Five of the twelve threads are about this Linky; the rest are a folding skateboard, a Zelda drawing, a cartoon character, a cat and a networking startup with the same name. Of the five, three lean negative, one is mixed and one is a job listing with no replies. There is no thread that reviews the chat itself.

The complaints are about the edges of the product: ads that copy PolyBuzz's, an ad that used a Hololive character without permission (the +115 top comment is the most upvoted thing about Linky on Reddit), a coin marketplace where 'human' profiles charge men 1,000 to 3,000 coins per photo, and a virus accusation that the thread's own replies reject.

The praise is incidental but consistent with the videos: replies that feel like a person is typing, and a product that absorbed Character AI's NSFW users after the 2023 ban. The App Store removal mentioned in passing matches what I found when I tried the listing.

What gets praised

  • Replies feel intuitive, 'as if a person's typing' (1 thread, 2 comments)
  • A home for Character AI's NSFW refugees (1 thread)
  • Users who checked found no unwanted installs (1 thread, 2 comments)

What gets criticised

  • Ads that copy a rival's and use franchise characters without permission (2 threads)
  • Human profiles are catfish selling coin-priced photos, with men charged more (1 thread)
  • A virus accusation that the replies dispute (1 thread)
  • Removed from the Apple App Store, per one commenter (1 thread)

In the press

The latest articles that mention Linky, newest first. For each one: what it says, then my take on its view of the brand.

    How Google’s AI describes it

The AI Overview Google showed for a US search of "linke.ai" on October 7, 2026, quoted as is.

Linky AI is an artificial intelligence platform and mobile application that lets you chat, roleplay, and build relationships with millions of virtual characters. Core Features Virtual Characters: Chat with pre-made AI personas inspired by anime, games, movies, and historical themes. Character Creation: Design custom 2D, Live2D, pixel, or 3D characters with unique voices, traits, and backstories to share with the community. Adaptive Learning: The AI uses deep learning to adapt to your preferences and conversation style over time. Card Collection: Collect magical character cards that unlock hidden secrets and interactive stories. Buzz Social Persona: Build and personalize an AI social persona…

Google cited: Google Play, Google Play, Google Play, eSafety Commissioner

How AI systems regard it: my take

Why this matters: for a product that lives in an app store rather than on the web, Google's summary is often the only description a newcomer reads before tapping install. It cited three regional copies of the Google Play listing and Australia's eSafety Commissioner guide, so the AI's picture of Linky is the store listing plus a safety regulator, with no review in between.

The framing is 'chat, roleplay and build relationships with millions of virtual characters', then the creator with its 2D, Live2D, pixel and 3D styles, 'adaptive learning', card collection and the Buzz social persona. That is the listing's feature order, and the creator and the library are the two things every video I read agrees on, so the summary is right about what the app is good at.

One claim I disagree with from my own test: 'adaptive learning' that 'adapts to your preferences and conversation style over time'. Memory is the weakest feature in every 2026 source I read and in my month: details faded within a session, and a June update wiped histories outright. The cards it calls 'magical' are a coin sink. The eSafety citation is the tell: Google's AI already treats this as an app that needs a safety guide.

What people type into Google before they sign up

Google's own suggestions after "linky" and the related searches Google Trends ranks highest over the last 12 months, retrieved October 7, 2026.

These are the questions people have before they sign up, in their own words. I group them by what they tell me, because the mix says more than any single search: a brand searched mostly with “free” has a different audience from one searched with “review”.

    • “aide regionale compteur linky”Breakout
    • “fraude compteur linky prison”Breakout
    • “linky real”+350%
    • “blog linky”+170%

Google Trends “rising” related queries; “Breakout” means growth over 5,000%.

    My take

Read the Trends chart on this page as noise. 'Linky' is also France's smart electricity meter and the Czech and Slovak word for kitchen units, which is why the top related query is 'compteur linky' at 100 with 'linky ai' at 35, the top regions are Slovakia, Czechia and France, and the breakouts are about meter fraud and regional subsidies. The brand's own demand is in the keyword data: 'linky ai' 9,900 US searches a month, 'linky' 12,100, 'linky app' 2,400.

The autocomplete is 'linky ai chat', 'linky app' and 'linky ai chat online free'. People want the app and they want it free, which matches a product whose free tier is ad-funded. 'linky real', up 350%, is the question the Reddit review answers: whether the human profiles are real people. They are, and they charge coins.

The non-brand keywords it ranks for are the ones nobody advertises: #1 for 'mom ai chat' and 'ai mom chat', #2 for 'sister ai', #1 for 'sussy ai', #5 for 'honey ai'. Taken with the stepmom scenes in both viral videos, that is the demand Linky actually serves, and it is a long way from the 'ai girlfriend' query, where linke.ai is not in the top 20.

How I track this: search-traffic estimates miss direct visits, apps and social, so for all-traffic reach I use Tranco, a daily ranking of every domain on the internet built from DNS and browser data (Cloudflare Radar, Cisco Umbrella, Majestic, Farsight and Chrome), and I check it against Google’s own Chrome UX Report each month. I record the rank every day and compare it only with the the AI girlfriend sites I track, because that is the list people actually choose from.

On the Tranco list of October 6, 2026, linke.ai ranked #12,258 among every domain worldwide, down 1,142 places since August 31, 2026, and Chrome's data puts it in the top 1,000,000 most visited sites. Among the AI girlfriend sites I track, that makes it #17, behind SpicyChat and OurDream.ai.

    How I read this

The number that matters most in this category is not the worldwide rank but the position among AI girlfriend sites. I read the daily chart for direction: a line climbing toward the top means the platform is gaining ground on everyone else, and a flat line at a high rank means a settled audience. Tranco is a rank, not a visit count, so I never convert it into visits.

    How I read this

These are the indicators I track for every AI girlfriend site, in the same order, so the pages can be compared side by side. Traffic tells me size, brand searches tell me demand, the popularity rank tells me standing against the rest of the category, and links tell me staying power. I always read the trend before the level: a platform at 500K visits and falling is a different story from one at 300K and doubling.

My take: the story in the numbers

What moved, and why I think it moved: the numbers read together, with the reviews in hand.

This is an app, and the website is its shop window. linke.ai gets about 24,000 organic search visits a month worldwide and 8,100 from the US, yet it sits at 12,258 in the Tranco all-traffic list, #17 of the AI girlfriend sites I track. A site with that much total reach and that little search traffic is being reached by other routes: app deep links, ads and direct visits from the Google Play listing that Google's AI cites. So the search series on this page measures the brand's web footprint, not its audience, and I read it that way.

The web footprint peaked early and has been sliding since. Worldwide search traffic jumped from 10,500 in November 2024 to 47,600 in December, peaked at 54,400 in April 2025, then fell to 28,000 by June 2025 and held between 27,000 and 35,000 for a year. The second leg down came in June and July 2026, to 20,000 and then 16,100, the lowest since 2024. September's 23,900 is up 18% on August but still a fifth below a year earlier.

Brand searches fell a third from their winter peak, and I can date the turn. 'linky' ran at 14,800 US searches a month from October to December 2025, dropped to 12,100 in January, 9,900 from February, and 8,100 in August 2026. The June and July traffic trough coincides with the two things the 2026 reviews report for that period: an update that deleted chat histories for many users, and a tightening of the content filter with the 'passion mode' removed. When an app wipes histories and narrows what it allows, the people who leave stop searching for it, and that is the shape of the curve.

The link profile is the one line that only goes up. Referring domains went from 79 in October 2024 to 1,284 in September 2026, sixteen times over, with the steepest climb from July 2025 (255) to February 2026 (1,007). Backlinks rose from 357 to 2,311, less than two links per domain, which is the signature of directory and listicle entries rather than sitewide affiliate placements. Hundreds of 'best AI chat app' lists added Linky in that window, and that is why Domain Rating is 27 and the domain rank 36 while traffic is falling: the lists keep linking, the users keep leaving.

The keyword mix explains the audience. 'linky ai', 'linky' and 'linky app' deliver most of the traffic, and the non-brand terms it ranks first for are 'mom ai chat', 'ai mom chat' and 'sussy ai'; it is not in the top 20 for 'ai girlfriend' at all. Its keyword competitors are Talkie, PolyBuzz, Character AI and SpicyChat, the mobile character-chat apps, not the web girlfriend sites. The US traffic doubling from 3,500 in July to 8,900 in August 2026 while brand searches kept falling looks like a ranking gain on those family-roleplay terms rather than returning users.

Verdict. Falling on the web side (traffic down 20% year on year, brand searches down 33% from the winter peak, Tranco down 1,100 places in five weeks) while the link count and the app's install base say the brand is still widely listed and widely installed. The condition I watch: if brand searches stabilise at 8,100 and September's bounce holds into October, the June wipe was a one-off; if they drop again, the filter change has cost it the Character AI refugees who made it.

The shape is the story: a 70% fall between April 2025 and July 2026, then a climb back to 44% of the old peak by September 2026. A drop that size usually means Google stopped ranking the site for a while; the recovery means it got back in.

Ready to make a call on Linky?

Visit the site, or compare it with the rest of the category first.

    In short

What I learned, and what I expect next

Pulling it together, from my own paid test, from what users say, and from my indicators: Linky is losing ground right now. Here is the whole picture in a few lines, then the scorecard behind it.

    How it is performing

Linky drew an estimated 23,895 visits from Google search in September 2026, +18.1% on August 2026 and -19.8% on a year earlier. The year-on-year figure flatters it because it is measured against the July 2026 low; against the April 2025 peak it is at 44%. Over the last quarter the trend is slipping (-19.4% against the three months before). Counting all traffic, it is #17 among the AI girlfriend sites I track, behind SpicyChat and OurDream.ai.

Reading the trend with the reviews in hand: the web traffic line peaked in spring 2025 and has slid since, with a second drop in June and July 2026, and the sources date the most plausible cause: histories wiped and the filter tightened in the same months. What people praise, the creator, the library and the voice, is what the sponsored videos sell and what keeps the app in listicles, so the referring-domain line keeps climbing. What they criticise, ads, a free cap that ends mid-scene, memory that fades within a session and a coin economy that reaches into the human-profile layer, is why the visitors who do arrive do not stay. For an app-first brand the install count matters more than this traffic line, but the brand-search decline is measuring the same loss of interest from a different angle.

    What changed

Brand demand is the standout: about 8,100 US searches a month (-33.1% year on year) and 74,000 worldwide. Neither brand demand nor traffic is growing much, so I would expect more of the same unless something changes. In popularity terms it has slipped 1,142 places since August 31, 2026. Links are still being earned (+295.1% in 12 months). On the reputation side: of the 5 most-watched videos whose transcripts I read, 3 are positive, 1 is mixed, 1 is a neutral walkthrough with no verdict and none is negative. The video reviewers I read like the creator, the library and the voice, and the only one who was not paid to look found ads, a free cap that ends mid-scene and coin-priced unlocks pushed within minutes. Reddit has almost nothing to say about Linky's chat; its threads are about copied ads, an unlicensed Hololive character in a promo, and a coin marketplace where strangers charge men to open photos.

    What I expect

More indicators are falling than rising, so unless brand demand picks up I expect Linky to keep sliding against the sites above it. A recovery would show up first in brand searches, then in traffic a month or two later. 8 of its 8 closest search rivals currently get more US search traffic than it does, which is the gap to watch.

    • Whether the Tranco rank keeps the direction it showed over the last 30 days.

    Part 7 · Method

    How I measured all this

I bought a Linky membership and tested it myself, and I come at the write-up as a data researcher. Everything on this page is measured, because the whole point of this site is to rank AI girlfriend platforms by real usage and interest rather than by anyone’s taste, and every brand page uses the same indicators in the same order so they can be compared. I pulled every figure on October 7, 2026.

    Traffic, keywords, backlinks, competitors, WHOIS
From DataForSEO, refreshed monthly. “Organic traffic” is an estimate of visits from Google results, modelled from the keywords a site ranks for. It leaves out direct visits, app traffic, paid ads and social referrals, so the real audience is bigger; that is why I also show an all-traffic popularity rank.
    Brand search volume
Google Ads keyword data via DataForSEO. Google rounds these into bands, which is why months often repeat the same figure.
    Domain Rating
Domain Rating by Ahrefs, a 100-point measure of backlink strength, published under Ahrefs’ Domain Rating license. The DataForSEO domain rank is a separate 100-point backlink score.
    Popularity rank
The Tranco list, an academic ranking of the top million domains built from DNS and browser data; a rank, not a visit count. The Chrome UX Report tier is Google's own popularity bucket from real Chrome users.
Trends, videos, forums, press, search suggestions
Google Trends is relative interest on a 0 to 100 scale, not a count. News, YouTube, Reddit and autocomplete data come through SerpApi from public Google and YouTube results; video views are summed across the videos I found. For the most-watched videos I also pull the caption transcript through SerpApi, read it in full, and write a short account of what the video says plus my own conclusion; videos without captions are listed by title only. For Reddit I read each thread Google surfaces directly from reddit.com in a browser, record its upvotes, comment count and top comments as they stood that day, screenshot the post as it is publicly visible, and classify it after reading; threads with no analysis yet are listed by title. Press articles are read in full and classified the same way; pages that block automated readers are marked as unread. The category search check is a live Google result for the category's own term (United States, desktop) via DataForSEO. Discord counts come from the server's public invite page.
    Hands-on testing
I purchased a Linky membership and used the product myself: chat, memory, images and the paid extras. My own test tells me what each feature does; the verdict on each feature comes from what users publish, because for a brand this size their view is more grounded than one reviewer's.

    Part 8 · Final verdict

    One last word on Linky

Linky is a mobile character-chat app that happens to be listed beside the AI girlfriend sites, and after a month with it that is how I would judge it. The creator is the best in this group, a description and a photo to a usable character in under two minutes, the library is enormous, and the voice replies are better than the price suggests. The one independent reviewer found the same, and so did the Reddit commenters who were not arguing about its ads.

Its weaknesses are the ones that decide whether you stay. Memory fades within a session and a June 2026 update wiped histories outright; the free tier is an ad channel with a message cap that ends mid-scene; and everything beyond text, card draws, intimate moments, gifts and the photos of the real people on the Buzz layer, is priced in coins. The praise is about what it makes in the first minute; the complaints are about what it costs and forgets after that.

Who should pick it: someone who wants anime-style roleplay on a phone, enjoys building characters and group scenes, and will pay for Pro to lose the ads. Who should not: anyone who needs a companion that remembers last week, anyone who wants a quiet free tier, anyone on a desktop, and anyone who could be drawn into paying coins to strangers in the human feed.

Where it stands today: #17 of the AI girlfriend sites I track, falling on my web scorecard, with brand searches a third below their winter peak and a reputation on Reddit that is about its ads rather than its chat. If the history wipe and the filter change of mid-2026 turn out to be the bottom, it stays a top-ten app on reach alone; if brand searches keep sliding past 8,000, the audience it took from Character AI is moving on again.
