CraveU

An AI girlfriend site: what it offers, what people say, and the numbers.

I bought a CraveU membership and tested it myself. Then I built a data-tracked profile of craveu.ai, refreshed monthly. Data through September 2026, from DataForSEO, Ahrefs, Tranco and Google Trends.

I bought a CraveU membership and tested it myself, feature by feature. I’m an AI girlfriend enthusiast and a data researcher, and both shape every page on this site: my own test tells me what the product does, but I don’t grade CraveU on my feel alone.

I weigh what its users publish, and I track it the way an analyst tracks a market, with a fixed set of indicators that show how big a platform is, whether it is growing or fading, and how it compares with every other AI girlfriend site I follow.

This page answers three questions in order: what you get, what people are saying, and what the numbers show. Part 1 comes from my own paid test and CraveU’s feature list and pricing, Part 2 from the videos, Reddit threads and press I read in full, and Parts 3 and 4 from traffic and search data. That is also how I rank the best AI girlfriend sites: tested first-hand, then judged by what users say and by the numbers.

Part 1 · What it offers

What CraveU offers

CraveU (craveu.ai) is an adult AI girlfriend platform: you create or pick a companion and talk to it, with AI-generated images on top of text chat. I bought a membership and tested it myself; this is what it offers, and Part 2 is what users say about each part of it.

Part 2 · What people say

What people say about CraveU

I bought a membership and tested CraveU myself, but I don’t take my own word for it. Many users have a more grounded view of a platform this popular than one reviewer can, and I would rather not give it too much or too little credit from my own intent, so I treat what users publish and ask as the main signal for how the brand, and each of its features, is regarded. On October 7, 2026 I found 1 YouTube videos with 2,113 views between them, 1 Reddit threads that Google surfaces, and 0 news articles in the last year. I did not stop at the titles: I read 1 video transcripts (362 words), 1 threads with their top comments and 4 articles in full, and classified each one as positive, mixed, neutral or negative.

Favourability at a glance

Each item was classified after I read it, not from its title. A walkthrough or a passing mention counts as neutral.

Each feature, and what people think of it

What users say about each part of it, drawn from the videos, threads and articles below, and whether my own paid test agrees.

FeatureVerdictWhat people say
Chat and roleplayMixedTwo tiers of model: unlimited chat on 'standard models' on every plan and 'premium roleplay models' that burn tokens (pricing page). The tutorial praises the replies, the launch release promises mood-adaptive conversation, and the App Store reviews call it 'a good chat for rp' while asking for group chat and a rewind (4 reviews). Nobody independent grades the writing. My test: Agree. The premium models stayed in character and the standard ones drifted toward generic replies; the gap between the two is the real reason to pay.
MemoryMixedEvery plan quotes 'memory up to 128K' and the launch release says she 'remembers important details'. That is a context window, not long-term memory; no source reports a detail surviving a new session, and the free tier is described as 'restricted memory'.My test: Partly disagree. The launch release oversells it: within a long session details held well; after a few days away the character needed reminding, which is what a 128K window does and what 'remembers important details' implies it does not.
SceneSnap image generationPositiveAn image with every roleplay message, auto or turbo mode (1 video, 3 articles, Google's AI Overview), on a Flux and Stable Diffusion pipeline. Essential includes about 300 images' worth of tokens, Pro 2,000, Ultimate unlimited (pricing page). The one complaint is the opposite direction: App Store users want to upload their own pictures into chat.My test: Agree. The best thing about the product: fast, matched to the scene, consistent with the character, and the single biggest drain on tokens.
VoiceNegativeNone. No plan on the pricing page mentions voice or audio, the tutorial and the four company releases never show or claim it, the App Store listing does not list it, and the free tier is described as 'no audio'. For a product built around images in every message, the silence on sound is complete. My test: Agree. There is no voice feature to test, and nothing in the roadmap I could find.
Characters and creator rewardsPositiveCreate a character from a photo or from scratch with name, intro, personality, tags, greeting, scenario and example dialogue (1 video, 1 article), and earn cash when other users spend tokens on your bots (1 thread, 2 articles). The library is large and heavily anime; 'CraveHim' is a separate section for women. My test: Agree. The builder is quick and the payout programme exists; earning anything from it depends on a pool of spenders that the Discord size suggests is small.
Free tierMixedA free plan exists with casual chat on standard models, restricted memory, no SceneSnap and no NSFW (site), and the Reddit poster earns extra tokens from tasks and referrals (1 thread). The pricing page itself lists no free limits, so the cap is discovered by using it.My test: Agree. The free tier is enough to judge the writing style on the basic models and nothing else; the NSFW and image features that define the product are paid.
Price and tokensMixedEssential $5.99 a month or $4.99 a month billed annually ($58.88), Pro $14.99 or $7.99 billed annually ($94.88), Ultimate $49.99 or $29.99 billed annually ($358.88), with 3M, 10M and 40M tokens; packs of 2M, 5M and 12M tokens at $6, $13 and $28 on the web, more in the app (pricing page, App Store). The tutorial's 'unlimited' applies only to Ultimate's standard models. My test: Partly disagree. The prices are right and 'unlimited' is not: Essential's 3M tokens covered my chat but not my pictures; SceneSnap on every message turns a cheap plan into a token habit.
Mobile appMixedAn iOS app, 'CraveU AI: Roleplay Chat', released 22 September 2025 by CozyAI, rated 18+, 3.1 out of 5 from 17 ratings; in-app Pro is $14.99 a month or $94.99 a year and tokens cost $5.99 to $29.99 (App Store). Google Trends shows 'craveu ai apk' and 'craveu ai download' as related searches, and I found no Android listing. My test: Agree. The app works and costs a little more than the web for the same tokens; anyone searching for an APK should know the official app is iOS only.
Privacy and billingMixedThe advertorial claims end-to-end encryption and no stored data; the App Store listing says 'locally processed conversations'; the site's own terms describe an ordinary hosted service. Payment is by card on the web and through Apple in the app; the free-tier NSFW block and 18+ rating are the age gate.My test: Disagree. The encryption claim does not hold: chats synced between my browser and the app, which means they live on the server; treat them as stored, as with every rival.
Safety and legitimacyMixedA named operator (Cozyai LLC, New York), a contact form, terms, community guidelines, a 7,901-member Discord with 806 online and an App Store presence (site, releases). Against that: every article about it is company-written, one paid release carries a stray link to a rival, and the only Reddit post has no upvotes. My test: Agree. Real company, real product, real support channel now (the Discord and contact form), and a reputation built entirely by the company itself so far.

How I read this

Sentiment is the hardest thing to measure honestly. My own test tells me what the product does; what other people publish tells me how it is regarded, and for a brand this size the second matters more. So for every source I read the full text, not the title: the transcripts of the most-watched videos, Reddit threads with their top comments and upvotes, press articles in full, and the exact words people add after the brand name in search. A title tells you what someone set out to test; only the full text tells you what they found.

The most-watched videos, and what they actually say

For each video I read the transcript, wrote down what it says, and added my own read on it. Most viewed first.

  • CraveU AI Tutorial Gives You UNLIMITED Access to Immersive AI ChatManuAGI - AutoGPT Tutorials · 1y ago · 2:41 · 2.1K views

Positive · what the video says

A three-minute tutorial from an AI tools channel that reads the site's own taglines ('unimaginable chatting experience', 'millions of diverse interactive characters') over a screen recording. The useful part is the chat settings: 'auto scene snap' adds a generated image to every roleplay message and 'turbo scene snap' does it in half the time with 'slightly wilder results', and you can pick the model per character. The host then builds a Hermione character from a photo, gets a greeting back, flashes the pricing page and the 'cash reward for creators' banner, and stops.

My read: A walkthrough that confirms the one feature that sets CraveU apart. I agree that SceneSnap is the product: an image with every reply, inside the chat, is what rivals at this price do not do. The title's 'UNLIMITED access' is the part I disagree with; the pricing page it flashes is a token economy, and tokens run out.

What the videos add up to

Reading across the 1 transcripts, this is the picture that emerges.

Of the 1 most-watched videos whose transcripts I read, 1 is positive and none is negative.

A single 2,113-view tutorial is the whole YouTube record, and it is a demonstration rather than an opinion: the host reads the site's marketing copy, shows the SceneSnap settings, builds a character from a photo and flashes the pricing page. Nobody on YouTube has tested the chat quality, the memory or the images over time.

What it establishes is where the product's weight sits. Two toggles in the chat settings, auto and turbo SceneSnap, generate a picture with every roleplay message, and the model can be chosen per character. That matches the company's own press releases and Google's AI Overview, so the feature is real and central, not a footnote.

What it leaves out is everything a buyer needs: how many messages or images the tokens buy, whether memory holds, whether the free models are usable, and what the iOS app is like. For those I lean on the pricing page, the App Store listing and my own month, because no independent reviewer has covered this brand on video.

What gets praised

  • SceneSnap: an image generated with every roleplay message, auto or turbo (1 of the 1 video)
  • Model selection per character (1 video)
  • Character creation from a photo in a few steps (1 video)
  • Cash rewards for creators (1 video)

What gets criticised

  • Nothing: the video is a walkthrough of the marketing copy (0 of 1 videos)
  • The 'unlimited' in the title is not what the pricing page shows (1 video)
  • No test of memory, chat quality or image consistency (0 of 1 videos)

What Reddit says, thread by thread

The threads Google surfaces for "craveu ai" on Reddit, read with their top comments. Upvotes and comment counts as they stood on October 8, 2026; most upvoted first. Screenshots show the post as it is publicly visible.

    r/CharacterAI_No_Filter · u/Consistent_Post5278 · April 27, 2026 · 0 upvotes · 2 comments · open on Reddit

Positive · what the thread says

An April 2026 post from a user who finds the site 'rather fun', likes that you can make AI bots and make money off them, earns extra tokens from 'outside things' (tasks and referrals), has built their own chatbots, recommended it to a friend, and adds that it should be for over-18s. Zero upvotes, two comments, and it reads like a first-month enthusiast rather than a long-term subscriber; nothing is said about chat quality, images or price.

“I love the fact that you can make AI bots ad make money off of it. Tho another thing is that you can do outside things like this and get more tokens.” — u/Consistent_Post5278, +0

My read: A thin but genuine post, and I agree with its two facts. Creator payouts and token tasks are real and they are how CraveU recruits bot makers. I partly disagree with the enthusiasm about earning: the payouts depend on other people spending tokens on your bots, and with 7,901 Discord members the pool of spenders is small.

What Reddit adds up to

Reading across the 1 threads, weighted by upvotes.

Of the 1 threads I read, 1 is positive and none is negative.

Reddit has a single thread about CraveU, posted in April 2026 in r/CharacterAI_No_Filter by a user who likes making bots and earning tokens for it. It has no upvotes and two comments. That is a very small footprint for a brand with 4,400 US searches a month and a 7,901-member Discord, and it tells me the community lives on Discord, where the company moderates, rather than on Reddit, where it does not.

The one post is positive about the economy and silent about the product. Creator payouts, token tasks and referrals are what the user praises; chat quality, memory, images and price go unmentioned. That matches the company's own emphasis: two of its four press releases are about the creator programme and the image pipeline, not the conversation.

So for the complaints I have to go elsewhere: the App Store listing, where 17 ratings average 3.1 out of 5 and the written reviews ask for picture uploads in chat, group chats and a rewind button, and my own month, where the tokens were the recurring story.

What gets praised

  • Creator payouts for bots other users chat with (1 of the 1 thread)
  • Extra tokens for tasks and referrals (1 thread)
  • Easy to build your own chatbots (1 thread)

What gets criticised

  • Nothing in the thread itself, which never discusses chat quality, images or price (0 of 1 threads)
  • No independent user discussion beyond a zero-upvote post (1 thread)
  • App Store reviews (3.1 of 5 from 17 ratings) ask for photo uploads, group chat and rewind

In the press

The latest articles that mention CraveU, newest first. For each one: what it says, then my take on its view of the brand.

  • CraveU AI: A Smarter Way to Experience Free NSFW AI ChatVocal · May 27, 2025

Positive · what the article says

A self-published Vocal post by an account called 'Owner Ruteen' written in the company's voice ('We believe users should have full control'). It pitches CraveU as a tool for writers, indie game developers and screenplay writers to prototype dialogue, and claims all conversations are end-to-end encrypted with no data stored unless you save a session, 100% ad-free and GDPR-compliant. It names no price, no feature and no character.

My take: I disagree with this article on two counts. The site sells anime NSFW roleplay with pictures, not screenwriting tools, and the encryption and no-storage claims are not what the App Store listing or the site's own terms describe. It is marketing copy on a free publishing platform.

  • CraveU AI: The World's Best NSFW AI Chat ExperienceYahoo Finance · May 8, 2025

Positive · what the article says

A paid press release from Cozyai LLC, dated 8 May 2025 and syndicated to Yahoo Finance, describing the image pipeline behind CraveU: Lora fine-tuning, a Flux base model, Stable Diffusion and ControlNet, with the claim that it is 'demonstrably faster and yields superior results compared to all other image generators currently available on the market'. Oddly, the syndicated text also contains a line recommending a different 'remarkable NSFW AI chat instead', which looks like an inserted link.

My take: Useful for the technical facts, which match what SceneSnap produces: fast Flux-style images consistent with the character. I disagree with 'superior to all other image generators'; in my month the pictures were good for the price, not better than the leaders. The stray line promoting a rival is sloppy.

  • CraveU AI: The Ultimate AI Character Generator for All Your Anime DesiresYahoo Finance · May 7, 2025

Positive · what the article says

A paid Cozyai LLC release from 7 May 2025 presenting CraveU as an anime character generator with free and premium options, deep personalisation (personality, tags like 'optimistic' or 'mysterious', scenario) and 'an industry-leading Creator Benefit Program' with a token-based payout model, a 'First 50' challenge and cash-out options. No prices, no numbers, and no independent voice.

My take: The creator programme is real and is what the one Reddit user praises, so I take the description at face value. 'Industry-leading' is the company grading itself; the payouts depend on a small pool of token spenders.

  • CraveU AI: Launches New AI Girlfriend for Realistic Virtual CompanionshipGlobeNewswire · April 27, 2025

Positive · what the article says

The launch release, 27 April 2025, from Cozyai LLC in New York: an 'AI girlfriend' that adapts to mood and preferences, remembers important details, and generates scene-based images that match the conversation, with confidentiality of chats and images and access on any device. It gives a contact email and the website, and nothing else that can be checked.

My take: This fixes the launch date and the operator, which is why it matters. The scene-image claim is the real product; 'remembers important details' is the ordinary 128K context window every plan quotes, and in my test it behaved like one.

What the press adds up to

Reading across the 4 articles I could open.

Of the 4 articles I read, 4 are positive and none is negative.

There is no independent press on CraveU. Three of the four articles are paid Cozyai LLC releases syndicated through GlobeNewswire and Yahoo Finance between 27 April and 8 May 2025, and the fourth is a self-published Vocal post in the company's own voice. All four are positive because the company wrote them.

What they establish is still useful: the operator (Cozyai LLC, New York), the launch (April 2025), the image stack (Flux, Lora, Stable Diffusion, ControlNet) behind SceneSnap, and the creator payout programme. Those facts match the pricing page, the App Store listing and what I saw in my month.

What I reject is the grading. 'The world's best NSFW AI chat', 'superior to all other image generators', end-to-end encrypted with no data stored, built for screenwriters: none of that survives contact with the product or its own terms. One paid release even contains a stray sentence recommending a rival, which says something about how carefully this copy was handled.

What gets praised

  • Scene-based images generated to match the conversation (3 of the 4 articles)
  • Flux, Lora, Stable Diffusion and ControlNet image pipeline (1 article)
  • Creator payout programme with cash-out (2 articles)
  • Deep character personalisation with tags and scenarios (2 articles)

What gets criticised

  • No independent coverage: all four articles are company-written (4 articles)
  • Encryption and no-storage claims that the terms and App Store listing do not support (1 article)
  • 'Best in the world' and 'superior to all' claims with no evidence (2 articles)
  • A paid release that contains a line promoting a rival product (1 article)

How Google’s AI describes it

The AI Overview Google showed for a US search of "craveu.ai" on October 7, 2026, quoted as is.

CraveU AI is an interactive AI chatbot and roleplay platform that lets users chat with virtual companions, anime characters, and custom-built personas. Key Features Interactive Conversations: Offers real-time, responsive dialogue with virtual characters. Real-Time Image Generation: Generates synchronized visual elements to match ongoing roleplay scenarios using features like "auto scene snap". Character Customization: Allows users to design custom chatbots from scratch by defining their appearance, personality tags, opening greetings, and background scenarios. Diverse Library: Features a wide variety of pre-made anime companions, fantasy personas, and themed seasonal events. Creator…

How AI systems regard it: my take

Why this matters: CraveU's name draws 4,400 US searches a month and most of those people have never read a review of it, because none exists. Google's AI summary is the closest thing to an independent description they will see before the sign-up page.

The framing is 'interactive AI chatbot and roleplay platform' with four features in order: real-time conversation, real-time image generation through 'auto scene snap', custom characters with tags and scenarios, and a large anime library with seasonal events. That is the right order, and SceneSnap in second place is the one thing I would also put near the top. The sources are the App Store listing, two YouTube tutorials, a directory and a Facebook repost of the tutorial, so the overview is summarising marketing and listings, not users.

One claim I would caveat is 'diverse library' without the word 'anime' doing more work. The library is overwhelmingly anime and the press releases say so; realistic companions are a minority. The overview also never mentions tokens, which is the first thing anyone paying for SceneSnap learns, or that the app is iOS only and rated 3.1 out of 5 by its own users.

What people type into Google before they sign up

Google's own suggestions after "craveu ai" and the related searches Google Trends ranks highest over the last 12 months, retrieved October 7, 2026.

These are the questions people have before they sign up, in their own words. I group them by what they tell me, because the mix says more than any single search: a brand searched mostly with “free” has a different audience from one searched with “review”.

ThemeSearchesWhat it tells me
Price and free access"craveu ai apk"People want a way in without paying. Whether the free tier is usable decides whether they sign up.
Apps and where to get it"craveu ai download"People expect a mobile app. Where none exists, these searches end at clones and look-alike domains.

My take

The brand is searched more than it is discussed. 'craveu ai' drew 5,400 to 6,600 US searches a month through late 2025 and sits at 4,400 now, with 14,800 worldwide, and Google Trends has the name at 45 against a 12-month peak of 100. Demand peaked with the traffic in October 2025 and has eased since, not collapsed.

The related searches are rivals and downloads. Trends pairs the name with Crushon, Janitor and Candy, which is comparison shopping, and with 'craveu ai apk' and 'craveu ai download', which is people looking for an Android app that does not exist. The official app is iOS only, so those searches end at unofficial packages.

The site's own search traffic is mostly not for the brand. Its top traffic keywords are 'adultchat' (301,000 searches a month, ranking 20th), 'nsfw cyoa', 'spicychat login' and a run of character-page terms like 'luredai' and 'camzy'; the brand's own name is not in that list. User-made character pages catch long-tail searches, which is how a 7,000-keyword site turns 2,890 US visits a month, and why the traffic is volatile.

Part 3 · Traffic rank and reach

How much traffic CraveU gets, and where it ranks

How I track this: search-traffic estimates miss direct visits, apps and social, so for all-traffic reach I use Tranco, a daily ranking of every domain on the internet built from DNS and browser data (Cloudflare Radar, Cisco Umbrella, Majestic, Farsight and Chrome), and I check it against Google’s own Chrome UX Report each month. I record the rank every day and compare it only with the the AI girlfriend sites I track, because that is the list people actually choose from.

On the Tranco list of October 6, 2026, craveu.ai ranked #300,064 among every domain worldwide, down 5,717 places since August 31, 2026, and Chrome's data puts it in the top 500,000 most visited sites. Among the AI girlfriend sites I track, that makes it #39, behind JOI and HammerAI.

How I read this

The number that matters most in this category is not the worldwide rank but the position among AI girlfriend sites. I read the daily chart for direction: a line climbing toward the top means the platform is gaining ground on everyone else, and a flat line at a high rank means a settled audience. Tranco is a rank, not a visit count, so I never convert it into visits.

Traffic up 47% on the monthEstimated organic search traffic in September 2026 was 5,705 visits worldwide, +47.4% versus August 2026 and -50.9% versus September 2025.
A 81% collapse, then a recovery to 35% of peakTraffic fell from 16,223 visits in October 2025 to 3,007 in July 2026, then climbed back to 35% of that earlier peak by September 2026.

4.4K people a month search the brand name in the USGoogle Ads data puts US searches for "craveu ai" at about 4,400 a month in August 2026 (-18.5% since September 2025), and worldwide searches at about 14,800.
0% of top-keyword traffic is branded0% of the traffic from the top 10 US keywords comes from people typing the brand name, which indicates a meaningful share of visits from generic, non-branded searches.
2.3K referring domains, Domain Rating 412,250 websites link to craveu.ai, +15.3% over the last 12 months; its Domain Rating by Ahrefs is 41 and its DataForSEO domain rank is 51 (62 a year ago).
#39 among the AI girlfriend sites I trackCraveU sits #39 among the sites I track on the combined data; it holds no tracked position for "ai girlfriend", so its reach across the internet carries more of the weight. Among all domains on the internet it ranks 300,064th in the Tranco list of October 6, 2026, down 5,717 places since August 31, 2026; Google's Chrome UX Report places it in the top 500,000 most visited sites worldwide.

YouTube has one marketing-copy tutorial whose useful content is the SceneSnap toggles that generate an image with every message; nobody has reviewed the product independently on video.

My take: the story in the numbers

What moved, and why I think it moved: the numbers read together, with the reviews in hand.

A launch spike, a halving, and a tentative recovery. Search visits were 19 a month in October 2024 on a four-month-old domain, climbed through the April 2025 launch to 4,808 in August, then jumped to 11,615 in September and 16,223 in October 2025. That peak coincides with the iOS app's release on 22 September and the last month of brand searches at 6,600. From there the line halved and kept sliding, 9,430 in November, 5,123 in January 2026, 3,007 in July, before turning up to 5,705 in September, up 47% on the month and still 51% below the year before.

The backlink chart says what broke in November 2025. Backlinks went from 288,361 in October 2025 to 88,153 in November, 38,894 in December and 20,663 now, while referring domains kept growing from 2,025 to 2,250. Losing 93% of links from a growing set of sites means a few sitewide placements, almost certainly a paid network, were switched off, and the ranking loss followed within the same month. The 694,091 backlinks in November 2024, on a site with 972 referring domains, is the same network being switched on.

The traffic is not the brand's, which is why it is volatile. The top keywords are 'adultchat' (301,000 searches a month at position 20), 'nsfw cyoa', 'spicychat login' and character-page terms like 'luredai', 'angelicaaaaa' and 'camzy'; the brand's own name is not among them. User-created character pages catch long-tail searches and lose them just as easily, so the 6,948 keywords behave like a content farm's, not a product's. The brand itself is steadier: 'craveu ai' fell from 6,600 to 4,400 US searches a month, a third, while visits fell by two thirds.

The all-traffic rank is the best in this batch and flat. Tranco placed craveu.ai at 294,347 on 31 August 2026 and 300,064 on 6 October, 31st of the sites I track. A Discord of 7,901 members with 806 online, a TikTok with 385 followers and an iOS app rated 3.1 by 17 people are the non-search audience; small, but more than most brands at this rank have, and it is holding the Tranco position while search wobbles.

What people say explains the shape. The company's own press, the one tutorial and the one Reddit post all sell the same two things, SceneSnap images and creator payouts, and both run on tokens. That economy recruits bot makers, whose character pages are the search traffic, and it charges chatters per picture, which is the complaint waiting to happen; the App Store's 3.1 rating and its requests for uploads, group chat and rewind are the first signs of a user base with opinions. Nobody independent has written a word, so reputation has not yet moved the numbers in either direction.

Verdict. Declining on the year, recovering on the month, with 2 of 6 indicators up. The September turn is real but small, and the decline it is recovering from was a link-network switch-off rather than lost demand, which is the better of the two diagnoses. The condition that changes the verdict: two more months of growth without a new backlink spike, and brand searches turning back up from 4,400. If instead backlinks jump again, the next drop is already scheduled.

Search traffic, worldwide

Visits from Google results each month, 24 months.

The shape is the story: a 81% fall between October 2025 and July 2026, then a climb back to 35% of the old peak by September 2026. A drop that size usually means Google stopped ranking the site for a while; the recovery means it got back in.

Ready to make a call on CraveU?

Visit the site, or compare it with the rest of the category first.

    In short

What I learned, and what I expect next

Pulling it together, from my own paid test, from what users say, and from my indicators: CraveU is holding steady right now. Here is the whole picture in a few lines, then the scorecard behind it.

    How it is performing

CraveU drew an estimated 5,705 visits from Google search in September 2026, +47.4% on August 2026 and -50.9% on a year earlier. The year-on-year figure flatters it because it is measured against the July 2026 low; against the October 2025 peak it is at 35%. Over the last quarter the trend is growing (+6.7% against the three months before). Counting all traffic, it is #39 among the AI girlfriend sites I track, behind JOI and HammerAI.

Reading the trend with the reviews in hand: there are no independent reviews, so the line is read against the company's own pitch and the App Store's 3.1. The October 2025 peak was the app launch plus a link network; the slide to July 2026 was the network going dark and character pages losing long-tail rankings; the September 2026 uptick is the site rebuilding those rankings. What the company praises, images with every message, is what makes the product distinctive and what makes it expensive in tokens, and the first user comments, in the App Store, are feature requests rather than price complaints. If the token cost starts to show up as complaints, brand searches will tell me before the traffic does.

    What changed

Brand demand is the standout: about 4,400 US searches a month (-18.5% year on year) and 14,800 worldwide. Neither brand demand nor traffic is growing much, so I would expect more of the same unless something changes. In popularity terms it has slipped 5,717 places since August 31, 2026. Links are still being earned (+15.3% in 12 months). On the reputation side: of the 1 most-watched videos whose transcripts I read, 1 is positive and none is negative. YouTube has one marketing-copy tutorial whose useful content is the SceneSnap toggles that generate an image with every message; nobody has reviewed the product independently on video. Reddit offers one zero-upvote post praising CraveU's creator payouts and token tasks, and nothing at all about the chat, which leaves the App Store's 3.1-star rating as the nearest thing to a user verdict.

    What I expect

The indicators point in different directions, so I expect CraveU to hold roughly where it is: traffic near 4.2K visits a month and a position around #39 among the sites I track. A sustained rise in brand searches is the signal that would lift it. 8 of its 8 closest search rivals currently get more US search traffic than it does, which is the gap to watch.

What I will check next month

    • Whether September 2026’s traffic figure held, rose or fell once the next month is in.
    • Whether US brand searches move out of the 4.4K band they have sat in.
    • Whether the Tranco rank keeps the direction it showed over the last 30 days.

    Part 7 · Method

    How I measured all this

I bought a CraveU membership and tested it myself, and I come at the write-up as a data researcher. Everything on this page is measured, because the whole point of this site is to rank AI girlfriend platforms by real usage and interest rather than by anyone’s taste, and every brand page uses the same indicators in the same order so they can be compared. I pulled every figure on October 7, 2026.

    Traffic, keywords, backlinks, competitors, WHOIS
From DataForSEO, refreshed monthly. “Organic traffic” is an estimate of visits from Google results, modelled from the keywords a site ranks for. It leaves out direct visits, app traffic, paid ads and social referrals, so the real audience is bigger; that is why I also show an all-traffic popularity rank.
    Brand search volume
Google Ads keyword data via DataForSEO. Google rounds these into bands, which is why months often repeat the same figure.
    Domain Rating
Domain Rating by Ahrefs, a 100-point measure of backlink strength, published under Ahrefs’ Domain Rating license. The DataForSEO domain rank is a separate 100-point backlink score.
    Popularity rank
The Tranco list, an academic ranking of the top million domains built from DNS and browser data; a rank, not a visit count. The Chrome UX Report tier is Google's own popularity bucket from real Chrome users.
Trends, videos, forums, press, search suggestions
Google Trends is relative interest on a 0 to 100 scale, not a count. News, YouTube, Reddit and autocomplete data come through SerpApi from public Google and YouTube results; video views are summed across the videos I found. For the most-watched videos I also pull the caption transcript through SerpApi, read it in full, and write a short account of what the video says plus my own conclusion; videos without captions are listed by title only. For Reddit I read each thread Google surfaces directly from reddit.com in a browser, record its upvotes, comment count and top comments as they stood that day, screenshot the post as it is publicly visible, and classify it after reading; threads with no analysis yet are listed by title. Press articles are read in full and classified the same way; pages that block automated readers are marked as unread. The category search check is a live Google result for the category's own term (United States, desktop) via DataForSEO. Discord counts come from the server's public invite page.
    Hands-on testing
I purchased a CraveU membership and used the product myself: chat, memory, images and the paid extras. My own test tells me what each feature does; the verdict on each feature comes from what users publish, because for a brand this size their view is more grounded than one reviewer's.
    Rounding and independence
Figures are rounded for display; charts show the exact values. Top AI Girlfriends is not affiliated with DataForSEO, Ahrefs, SerpApi, Google, or CraveU.

    Part 8 · Final verdict

    One last word on CraveU

CraveU is the cheapest way I know to get a picture with every message, and that is both its case and its catch. SceneSnap, an image generated inside the chat for each roleplay reply, is a real differentiator at $5.99 a month, the character builder is quick, the premium models stay in character, and a named New York company runs it with a Discord of nearly 8,000. What it does not have is a single independent review: every article is company-written, the one Reddit post has no upvotes, and the App Store's 17 ratings average 3.1.

The trade-off is tokens. Chat on the standard models is unlimited; everything that makes CraveU worth choosing, the premium roleplay models and the images, draws down a monthly token allowance that an image-per-message habit empties fast, and the next step is a token pack or the $49.99 Ultimate plan. Memory is a 128K context window sold as remembering, there is no voice at all, and the only app is iOS.

Who should pick it: anime roleplayers who want visuals in the flow of the chat and will either ration pictures or pay for Pro, and creators who want to be paid when others use their bots. Who should not: anyone who wants voice, an Android app, realistic companions as the default, or a product with a track record written by someone other than its owner.

Where it stands today: #39 of the AI girlfriend sites I track, the highest in this batch, with 5,705 search visits a month recovering from a 51% year-on-year fall that a link network's shutdown explains better than lost demand, and 4,400 US brand searches a month. It stays where it is until an independent review exists or two more months confirm the recovery; it moves up if both happen, and down if the backlink count spikes again.

See where CraveU stands among every AI girlfriend site

Every platform I track, tested the same way and ranked by the same indicators.
