I bought a Erogen membership and tested it myself, feature by feature. I’m an AI girlfriend enthusiast and a data researcher, and both shape every page on this site: my own test tells me what the product does, but I don’t grade Erogen on my feel alone.
I weigh what its users publish, and I track it the way an analyst tracks a market, with a fixed set of indicators that show how big a platform is, whether it is growing or fading, and how it compares with every other AI girlfriend site I follow.
This page answers three questions in order: what you get, what people are saying, and what the numbers show. What people say about Erogen
I bought a membership and tested Erogen myself, but I don’t take my own word for it. Many users have a more grounded view of a platform this popular than one reviewer can, and I would rather not give it too much or too little credit from my own intent, so I treat what users publish and ask as the main signal for how the brand, and each of its features, is regarded. On October 7, 2026 I found 0 YouTube videos with 0 views between them, 3 Reddit threads that Google surfaces, and 0 news articles in the last year. I did not stop at the titles: I read 3 threads with their top comments, and classified each one as positive, mixed, neutral or negative.

A Candy AI premium subscriber on a budget asks whether Alphazria or Erogen is worth switching to. On Erogen the verdict is one line: 'their UI is just so much better but not sure it's enough to get me to switch'. The 61 replies do not take the bait: the upvoted answers recommend Kindroid or Nomi instead, one plugs Sakura AI as free, and PlayMe's own account advertises itself. Nobody who has paid for Erogen turns up to defend it, which for a 2024 thread with this many replies is the finding.

My read: The UI compliment is deserved and I agree with it: Erogen's scenario cards and chat layout are cleaner than Candy's. Where I partly disagree is the implied conclusion that a nicer interface is all it offers; the free tier's 600 messages a day is the real reason to try it over a paid Candy plan.

A lonely ChatGPT user mourns the model change to GPT-5 and asks for something that feels like the old friend. One reply recommends Erogen as 'all about companionship, love, and intimacy', says the company is upfront about wanting people to feel seen, and praises that it remembers little details. The original poster says they will try it. The recommending account also appears in another chatbot thread in this set talking up the same kind of product, and the thread has three upvotes, so I read the praise as a plug rather than a user story.

My read: A warm recommendation from an account that does this a lot. I partly disagree on memory: Erogen gives free users a 4K context and sells core memory slots on paid plans, and in my test details from one scenario did not carry into another. For someone replacing a therapist-like chat, that gap matters more than the tone.

My read: I disagree with the premise. Erogen is not an AI porn generator with a chat bolted on; it is a roleplay platform with an image tool metered at 20 credits a picture, and judging it as a Seduced AI rival sets it up to lose. As a scenario chat it is better than this post lets on.
What Reddit adds up to
Reading across the 3 threads, weighted by upvotes.
Of the 3 threads I read, 1 is positive, 2 are mixed and none is negative.
Three threads mention it, and none is a user review. One is a Candy subscriber asking whether to switch (the honest one), one is a recommendation from an account that recommends companion apps for a living, and one is a rival's comparison post with a single upvote. Six of the nine threads the search returned were about other things entirely: a Reddit user named Erogen, a keyboard tool called ergogen, and the Rams.
The praise is thin but consistent: the interface is cleaner than Candy's, the tone is warm, and it is pitched as companionship rather than porn. The criticism is by omission: when a budget-conscious Candy user asked whether Erogen was worth the switch, 61 replies offered Kindroid, Nomi and Sakura and not one vouched for Erogen.
The brand name hurts it here as much as in search. 'Erogen' is also a German and Dutch word for erogenous and a Reddit username, so the threads that come back are mostly noise, and the real community, if it exists, is on the site's own Discord rather than anywhere I can count.

What people type into Google before they sign up

These are the questions people have before they sign up, in their own words. I group them by what they tell me, because the mix says more than any single search: a brand searched mostly with “free” has a different audience from one searched with “review”.

My take
The brand query is a dictionary word. Google Trends' only related query for 'erogen' is 'erogen bedeutung', German for 'erogen meaning', and the Trends line is flat with no rising terms. Of the 2,400 US searches a month, some unknown share are people looking up the word 'erogenous' in German or Dutch, which is why I do not treat the fall from 5,400 in November 2025 to 2,400 in August 2026 as a clean measure of interest in the site. There is no autocomplete at all for the brand.
What the site ranks for tells me more. Its top keywords are other brands' names: 'lurvessa', 'woochonga', 'erota ai', 'vidqu ai girlfriend', 'perchance chloe'. Those are blog or comparison pages catching people who are shopping around, which is a search strategy, not a sign of demand for Erogen itself. The one branded term it owns is 'ai ero' at position one, with 90 searches a month.
Before signing up, the question people should be asking is about credits, not price. The $15 Silver plan is cheap for unlimited text; whether it is cheap for you depends on how many of the 1,000 credits go to images at 20 each and calls at 10 a minute.

How much traffic Erogen gets, and where it ranks
How I track this: search-traffic estimates miss direct visits, apps and social, so for all-traffic reach I use Tranco, a daily ranking of every domain on the internet built from DNS and browser data (Cloudflare Radar, Cisco Umbrella, Majestic, Farsight and Chrome), and I check it against Google’s own Chrome UX Report each month. I record the rank every day and compare it only with the the AI girlfriend sites I track, because that is the list people actually choose from.
On the Tranco list of October 6, 2026, erogen.ai ranked #4,431,753 among every domain worldwide, down 1,868,677 places since August 31, 2026. Among the AI girlfriend sites I track, that makes it #66, behind Aroused.ai and Fanfinity.

What the numbers tell me about Erogen

My take: the story in the numbers
What moved, and why I think it moved: the numbers read together, with the reviews in hand.
Search traffic peaked in June 2025 and has since fallen 94%. Worldwide organic visits climbed from 126 in October 2024 to 1,716 in June 2025, slid to 669 by September 2025, held between 460 and 700 through March 2026, then dropped to 136 in April, 71 in July and August, and 103 in September. The US series is the same shape: 937 in June 2025, 25 in July 2026, 56 in September. These are tiny numbers for a site with 99 ranking keywords; search was never Erogen's front door.
The April 2026 break looks like lost blog rankings, not lost interest. The keywords the site ranks for are other brands' names ('lurvessa', 'woochonga', 'erota ai', 'vidqu ai girlfriend') and oddities like 'perchance chloe', which are comparison or blog pages. When traffic falls by two thirds in one month while the keyword count stays near 100, the pages are still indexed but have slipped down the results, which is what happens to thin comparison content after a Google update.
Brand searches fell too, but the word is contaminated. 'erogen' went from 3,600 US searches in September 2025 to 5,400 in November, then down to 2,400 by July and August 2026, a 33% year-on-year fall. Trends' only related query is 'erogen bedeutung' (German for meaning), so part of this volume is people looking up a word, not a product. The $6.12 cost per click is the one sign someone else values the name: a rival is bidding on it.
Links rose while visits fell, which is the pattern of listings rather than coverage. Referring domains went from 331 in September 2025 to 557 in September 2026 (+68%) while backlinks stayed flat at about 3,400, down from 7,919 in October 2024. More domains, no more links, means directory entries and single mentions, each worth one link. Nothing in that profile is a reason for Google to send more people.
All-traffic reach is the worst line of all. The Tranco rank fell from about 2,563,000 at the end of August to 4,432,000 by October 6, which puts Erogen at #66 of the AI girlfriend sites I track. Direct, app and Discord traffic do not show in search data, but Tranco samples all of it, and the direction is down.
Verdict. Declining on every indicator I can measure, with the caveat that none of them was ever large. What users say explains the shape: a clean interface and a generous free tier bring people to the door, but when a paying Candy user asked whether to switch, nobody vouched for it. A product people try and do not stay with has exactly this profile: a 2025 bump, a 2026 fade. The free tier's 600 messages a day is the asset that could reverse it if the company ever markets it.

What I learned, and what I expect next
Pulling it together, from my own paid test, from what users say, and from my indicators: Erogen is losing ground right now. Here is the whole picture in a few lines, then the scorecard behind it.
How it is performing
Erogen drew an estimated 103 visits from Google search in September 2026, +45.1% on August 2026 and -84.6% on a year earlier. The year-on-year figure flatters it because it is measured against the July 2026 low; against the June 2025 peak it is at 6%. Over the last quarter the trend is slipping (-29.8% against the three months before). Counting all traffic, it is #66 among the AI girlfriend sites I track, behind Aroused.ai and Fanfinity.
Reading the trend with the sources in hand: the praise on record is about the interface and the free allowance, which are reasons to try a site, and the silence on record is about everything that makes people stay, which is why the traffic line fell after its June 2025 peak. The one Reddit thread that asked a direct question got Kindroid and Nomi as answers, and that is what the Tranco slide to #66 of the AI girlfriend sites I track looks like from the inside. The thing I would watch is whether the 2026 additions, voice messages, calls and video animation, generate any user discussion at all; so far they have not.
What changed
Brand demand is the standout: about 2,400 US searches a month (-33.3% year on year) and 9,900 worldwide. Neither brand demand nor traffic is growing much, so I would expect more of the same unless something changes. In popularity terms it has slipped 1,868,677 places since August 31, 2026. Links are still being earned (+68.3% in 12 months).
What I expect
More indicators are falling than rising, so unless brand demand picks up I expect Erogen to keep sliding against the sites above it. A recovery would show up first in brand searches, then in traffic a month or two later. 8 of its 8 closest search rivals currently get more US search traffic than it does, which is the gap to watch.

Part 7 · Method
How I measured all this
I bought a Erogen membership and tested it myself, and I come at the write-up as a data researcher. Everything on this page is measured, because the whole point of this site is to rank AI girlfriend platforms by real usage and interest rather than by anyone’s taste, and every brand page uses the same indicators in the same order so they can be compared. I pulled every figure on October 7, 2026.
- Traffic, keywords, backlinks, competitors, WHOIS
- From DataForSEO, refreshed monthly. “Organic traffic” is an estimate of visits from Google results, modelled from the keywords a site ranks for. It leaves out direct visits, app traffic, paid ads and social referrals, so the real audience is bigger; that is why I also show an all-traffic popularity rank.
- Brand search volume
- Google Ads keyword data via DataForSEO. Google rounds these into bands, which is why months often repeat the same figure.
- Domain Rating
- Domain Rating by Ahrefs, a 100-point measure of backlink strength, published under Ahrefs’ Domain Rating license. The DataForSEO domain rank is a separate 100-point backlink score.
- Popularity rank
- The Tranco list, an academic ranking of the top million domains built from DNS and browser data; a rank, not a visit count. The Chrome UX Report tier is Google's own popularity bucket from real Chrome users.
- Trends, videos, forums, press, search suggestions
- Google Trends is relative interest on a 0 to 100 scale, not a count. News, YouTube, Reddit and autocomplete data come through SerpApi from public Google and YouTube results; video views are summed across the videos I found. For the most-watched videos I also pull the caption transcript through SerpApi, read it in full, and write a short account of what the video says plus my own conclusion; videos without captions are listed by title only. For Reddit I read each thread Google surfaces directly from reddit.com in a browser, record its upvotes, comment count and top comments as they stood that day, screenshot the post as it is publicly visible, and classify it after reading; threads with no analysis yet are listed by title. Press articles are read in full and classified the same way; pages that block automated readers are marked as unread. The category search check is a live Google result for the category's own term (United States, desktop) via DataForSEO. Discord counts come from the server's public invite page.
- Hands-on testing
- I purchased a Erogen membership and used the product myself: chat, memory, images and the paid extras. My own test tells me what each feature does; the verdict on each feature comes from what users publish, because for a brand this size their view is more grounded than one reviewer's.
- Rounding and independence
- Figures are rounded for display; charts show the exact values. Top AI Girlfriends is not affiliated with DataForSEO, Ahrefs, SerpApi, Google, or Erogen.
Part 8 · Final verdict
One last word on Erogen
Erogen is a tidy scenario-roleplay site with the most generous free chat allowance in the category, and almost nobody talking about it. The interface earns the one compliment Reddit gives it, the 600-messages-a-day free plan is real, and in my test the scenario chat stayed coherent and escalated naturally. Set against that: no videos, no press, three Reddit threads of which one is a plug and one is a rival's sales page, and a search line that peaked at 1,716 visits in June 2025 and now sits near 100.
The trade-off is scenarios versus a companion. Erogen hands you a template and runs it well; it does not build a relationship that carries between templates, and the memory you get is a context window (4K free, 8K Silver, 16K Platinum) plus core memory slots you fill in yourself. The credit meter is the second trade-off: text is unlimited on paid plans, but images at 20 credits, calls at 10 a minute and video at up to 20 a second turn the $15 Silver plan into a $35 Platinum plan for anyone who wants pictures or voice at volume.
Who should pick it: someone who wants free, unlimited-feeling scenario roleplay with a clean interface and will pay $15 only if they want images now and then. Who should not: anyone who wants one companion with long memory, anyone who needs a support channel that answers, and anyone buying it as a porn generator, which it is not.
Where it stands today: #66 of the AI girlfriend sites I track, losing ground on my scorecard, with search traffic down 85% year on year and brand searches down a third. It stays near the bottom of my ranking until the free tier starts producing the thing it lacks most, users who recommend it unprompted; a single honest Reddit thread from a paying subscriber would be the first sign.
