My take

Both give you a free tier, so you can try the chat on each before paying; expect message caps and few or no images until you upgrade. DreamGF is the cheaper way in at $9.99/mo against $19.99/mo for Replika. The entry price is only part of it: image, voice and video are often metered on top, so the pricing notes row matters as much as the headline. DreamGF simply does more: custom character creation, nsfw chat and image generation and voice messages are on its list and not on Replika's. More features is only better if you will use them. On adult content they are not the same product: DreamGF allows it on paid plans, Replika keeps a filter. Decide that first and half the comparison decides itself.

My take

Start with the row this site ranks on. When someone types "ai girlfriend" into Google in the US, DreamGF is there at #53; Replika does not appear in the tracked positions at all. That is why DreamGF sits higher here even if it is the smaller site: it is the one the category sends newcomers to. On size, Replika is the busier site: 47,230 search visits a month worldwide, more than 10 times what DreamGF gets (4,657). These are estimates of visits from Google only, so a site with apps or ads can be bigger than this shows. Brand searches are the loyalty line: 14,800 people a month type Replika's name, against 2,900 for DreamGF. A name people type on purpose is a site they come back to; a site with lots of visits and few brand searches is living on rankings it could lose. Replika's Domain Rating of 76 against 60 means far more sites link to it, which is what keeps rankings stable; the weaker link profile is the one more likely to move, up or down, when Google reshuffles. Replika is the older domain (2004 against 2023), which counts for something in a category where sites close without notice. In plain terms: Replika is bigger, DreamGF is the one the category search points to.

My take

Users rate them about the same: 2 of 10 features positive for Replika and 2 of 10 features positive for DreamGF. Where they split, Replika gets the better word on free tier. My own month did not always match the crowd: I disagreed with users on 3 points for Replika and 1 point for DreamGF, and each disagreement is spelled out on the brand page.
