Hunter reviews every published piece and oversees our testing protocols. He has read more AI companion platform terms of service than any human being reasonably should.
About Hunter
As Lead Research Editor, Hunter is the last set of eyes on every review and research article before it publishes. That means checking that scores line up with the evidence presented, that claims about a platform's features are actually accurate, and that nothing reads like it was lifted from a platform's own marketing copy.
He also oversees the consistency of our testing protocols across the team, making sure every reviewer is scoring against the same fixed criteria described in our testing methodology, rather than applying their own personal standards from platform to platform.
A large part of the job is unglamorous: reading terms of service documents, billing pages, and cancellation flows in detail so that reviews can call out dark patterns and pricing tricks accurately, instead of repeating whatever a platform's pricing page claims.
What Hunter Focuses On
Editorial review. Every review and article is checked before publishing for accuracy, tone, and consistency with our published methodology.
Protocol consistency. Makes sure every platform is scored against the same fixed criteria, regardless of who ran the testing session.
Terms of service and billing review. Reads the fine print on cancellation flows, auto-renewals, and pricing pages so reviews can flag real issues.
