Corrections and revision history

What was wrong, when, and what changed.

A site built on figures owes its readers a record of the ones it got wrong. Every correction to a published number or claim is listed here, dated, newest first. To report one, use the contact page.

  1. October 10, 2026 · every page

What was wrong. The hidden author tag on every page still said "Top AI Girlfriends Editorial Team", and the default share-card title said "Honest Reviews & Comparisons", both from the site before its October 2026 reset.

What changed. The author is Hunter Gray on every page and the share cards describe the site as it is: tested first-hand, ranked on the data.

  2. October 10, 2026 · /best-ai-girlfriend, /sites, /testing-methodology

What was wrong. Tranco was described as a list of the top million domains while ranks such as #2,800,000 appeared on the same pages.

What changed. The site reads Tranco's full list, which runs past four million domains; every description now says so, and says a Tranco rank is a popularity rank, not a count of visits.

  3. October 10, 2026 · /sites/candy-ai

What was wrong. The verdict said Candy AI held the #2 position on Google for "ai girlfriend" while the figures on the same page said #11. The #2 came from a one-off live Google check on 2026-10-07; the ranking and every figure on the site use DataForSEO's monthly ranked-keyword data, which said #11.

What changed. The sentence now reads from the monthly figure, the one-off live check is no longer quoted on any profile, and an automated check now flags any literal position in prose that disagrees with the data.

  4. October 8, 2026 · /best-ai-girlfriend

What was wrong. The ranking placed sites by all-traffic reach alone in some descriptions and by Google position in others.

What changed. Every description of the order now matches the formula on the data page: Google US position for "ai girlfriend" first, Tranco rank second.

  5. October 8, 2026 · /authors, /about, /careers

What was wrong. The site had described a four-person editorial team. It is owned, run and written by one person.

What changed. The three other author pages and the careers page were removed and redirect to Hunter Gray's page; the about page describes the site as it is. Older copies in search results are redirects now and drop out as they are recrawled.

Monthly data refreshes are not corrections; they are listed on the data page with their collection dates. Definitions of every figure are there too.
