My take
Both give you a free tier, so you can try the chat on each before paying; expect message caps and few or no images until you upgrade. EroPlay.ai simply does more: personal character creation and customization, anime and realistic character styles and nsfw text-based chat functionality are on its list and not on FantasyGF's. More features is only better if you will use them.

My take
Start with the row this site ranks on. When someone types "ai girlfriend" into Google in the US, FantasyGF is there at #80; EroPlay.ai does not appear in the tracked positions at all. That is why FantasyGF sits higher here even if it is the smaller site: it is the one the category sends newcomers to. On size, FantasyGF is the busier site: 877 search visits a month worldwide, more than 145 times what EroPlay.ai gets (6). These are estimates of visits from Google only, so a site with apps or ads can be bigger than this shows. Brand searches are the loyalty line: 2,400 people a month type EroPlay.ai's name, against 1,300 for FantasyGF. A name people type on purpose is a site they come back to; a site with lots of visits and few brand searches is living on rankings it could lose. Tranco tells a slightly different story: it counts every visit, not only search, and there EroPlay.ai comes out ahead (#424,294 against #726,988). When search and all-traffic disagree, the site that wins on Tranco has an audience that does not come through Google. FantasyGF is the older domain (2023 against 2024), which counts for something in a category where sites close without notice. In plain terms: FantasyGF is both the bigger site and the one the category search points to.

“Users” is the balance of the YouTube reviews, Reddit threads and articles read for each brand page; “my test” is whether my own month on the site agreed with them.
My take
Users are happier with EroPlay.ai: 4 of its 10 features come out positive, against FantasyGF's 1 of 10, with 2 features where the complaints win. Where they split, EroPlay.ai gets the better word on image generation. My own month did not always match the crowd: I disagreed with users on 2 points for EroPlay.ai and 5 points for FantasyGF, and each disagreement is spelled out on the brand page.
