PolyBuzz Review 2026: Is It Any Good? We tested it hands-on.

I created two companions to test the range PolyBuzz offers, one anime-style and one realistic-style, and ran each through an extended conversation on both the mobile app and the browser version to see if the experience differed. It didn't, in a good way: messages sent through the app synced immediately when I reopened the browser tab, and both characters escalated from casual flirtation into explicit territory within a handful of messages once I steered things there. The AI adjusted its tone convincingly depending on which character I was messaging, more playful and exaggerated with the anime persona, more grounded with the realistic one.

Where PolyBuzz didn't stand out was personality depth beyond that surface-level tone shift. Both characters stayed in character and never broke immersion, but the actual substance of the conversation, the opinions, the callbacks to earlier messages, felt more templated than distinct once I pushed past the first dozen exchanges. Response speed was consistently quick across both the app and browser. For a platform built entirely around this one feature, it's a solid, dependable execution, just not a category leader on nuance.

PolyBuzz was text-only when I first tested it, and that's changed: there's now a "Generate Image" tool that produces character avatars and portraits in anime, realistic, and cartoon styles, plus a clothes-changer feature and a webtoon-style multi-panel comic builder with some character consistency across panels. It's gated to a daily cap of 20 to 30 attempts depending on your tier, and it leans on presets and templates rather than open-ended prompting, so it plays more like a bundled extra than a core feature the platform is built around.

I couldn't confirm anywhere that this generator actually produces explicit NSFW content, which matters given PolyBuzz is otherwise an NSFW chat platform, so I'm not crediting it as a real substitute for dedicated image generation until that's clearer. There's also still no video generation of any kind, no animated clips, no photo-to-video, nothing. If a genuinely capable visual companion experience matters to you, PolyBuzz has narrowed the gap slightly but hasn't closed it.

There is no voice feature to test on PolyBuzz. I checked every menu available on both the app and the browser version after subscribing and found no voice message option and no live call option of any kind, on either an anime or realistic character. I also checked the platform's Discord and social media presence for any mention of voice being planned, and found nothing suggesting it is on the roadmap.

If audio immersion is something you are specifically looking for, this is the clearest reason to look elsewhere. PolyBuzz is built entirely around text, and it is upfront about that rather than pretending otherwise, but it is still a real gap compared to platforms that offer any kind of voice layer.

PolyBuzz doesn't have a dedicated help center, FAQ page, or ticket system anywhere I could find. What it does have is an active Discord server and active social media accounts. I posted a billing question in the Discord's support channel and got a reply within about a day, and in the meantime a couple of other members chimed in with answers of their own.

The tradeoff is that everything routes through informal channels rather than a formal support system. If you're not on Discord and don't follow the platform's social accounts, there's no obvious email or contact form I could locate as an alternative. It's a workable setup for a budget platform, but not one that inspires confidence if you run into a serious account or billing issue.

PolyBuzz starts at $9.90 a month on its Basic tier, genuinely on the affordable end for this category, with a yearly option around $99. A Premium tier and a newer Ultimate tier sit above it, though I found the exact Premium price reported inconsistently across sources, likely varying by region or promotion, so treat anything above Basic as approximate until you check the live checkout.

There's no free trial and no way to preview a real conversation before paying, and neither cryptocurrency payments nor an affiliate program are available, both fairly standard extras that some budget competitors do offer. Judged purely on what you get for the entry price, a capable chat-first NSFW experience with no login wall, this is a reasonable deal as long as you know exactly what you're not getting.
