3 Open Roles

Job Positions

We’re a small, hands-on editorial team testing 130 AI companion platforms and writing about the industry around them. Here’s where we’re looking to add help.

Most roles are based out of our New York office at 261 Madison Avenue, though we’ll consider remote for the right candidate.

AI Companion Platform Tester

ContractNew York, NY (remote considered)
Apply →

Hands-on testing of AI girlfriend and companion apps across chat, image/video generation, voice, and customer support, scored against our fixed 5-category rubric.

Responsibilities

  • Run structured testing sessions on paid subscriptions, not free trials or marketing demos
  • Document findings with screenshots and specific examples, not general impressions
  • Score each platform against our published testing methodology, consistently across sessions
  • Read cancellation flows and billing pages closely enough to flag dark patterns or auto-renewal traps

What We’re Looking For

  • Comfortable evaluating NSFW content professionally and objectively
  • A meticulous note-taker who documents process, not just conclusions
  • No financial or promotional ties to any platform you'd be testing

Research Writer

FreelanceNew York, NY (remote considered)
Apply →

Long-form research articles on AI companion technology, industry trends, and user behavior for our blog and research section.

Responsibilities

  • Pitch and write 1,500-2,500 word articles grounded in primary sources and real data
  • Work from our existing testing data and platform ratings rather than restating marketing copy
  • Follow our house style: plain, specific, and citable, with claims traceable to a source

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong research habits and comfort citing primary sources, not just other blog posts
  • Able to write about NSFW and adult-industry topics in a clinical, non-salacious tone
  • Prior writing on technology, psychology, or relationships is a plus but not required

Editorial Researcher & Fact-Checker

Part-timeNew York, NY (remote considered)
Apply →

A second set of eyes on every published review and article, checking that scores and claims actually match the evidence before anything goes live.

Responsibilities

  • Review drafts against the tester's screenshots and notes before publication
  • Read terms of service, billing pages, and cancellation flows for accuracy on pricing claims
  • Flag inconsistent scoring across reviewers and enforce the same fixed criteria sitewide

What We’re Looking For

  • Detail-oriented, comfortable reading legal and billing fine print without skimming
  • Prior editorial, QA, or fact-checking experience is a plus
  • Willing to push back on a score or claim that doesn't hold up to scrutiny

How We Work

Every role on this page fits how the rest of the team already operates: paid subscriptions instead of free trials, real testing sessions instead of press-kit summaries, and a fixed scoring rubric applied the same way regardless of who’s running the session. See our testing methodology for the standard every review is held to, or meet the current team you’d be working alongside.

Don’t see the right fit?

We’re a small team and don’t always have every role open. If you have relevant experience and want to be considered when something new opens up, send us a short note about your background.
