NextPart AI Review 2026: Is It Any Good? We tested it hands-on.

I created two characters to test the range NextPart advertises, one anime-styled and one realistic, and ran each through a session of roughly 40 messages. The chat held character well in both cases and escalated at about the pace I nudged it toward, backing off when I pulled back and pushing further when I leaned in. That responsiveness to cues is the platform's real chat strength, and it matches what NextPart's own materials claim.

Where it fell short of the best chat-first platforms I've tested is depth over a longer session. Around message 30, both characters started reusing similar phrasing and pet names regardless of what I'd just said, a sign the personality layer is functional but not particularly deep. Neither character remembered a detail I'd mentioned early in the conversation once we were several topics removed from it.

None of this makes the chat bad. It's a reliable, adaptive conversation partner that does what a mid-tier NSFW chat platform should do. It just isn't the reason to pick NextPart over a chat-specialist competitor, that reason is supposed to be the combination of chat with images and voice.

I generated a batch of images for both characters I'd built, roughly a dozen each, alternating between the anime and realistic style options. Both held up well. The anime output looked genuinely finished rather than a rough first draft, and the realistic style produced images that were coherent and consistent with the character's established appearance across multiple generations, which is not something every platform I've tested manages.

This is where NextPart earns its strongest score. Image quality here is a real, documented strength, not padding to round out a feature list. I didn't hit any generations that looked broken or off-model, and switching between styles didn't require starting the character over.

If you want a companion that sends unprompted pictures as part of the chat flow, that's a different feature than what NextPart offers here. Checking back since my original review, NextPart has also added character video generation, currently marked as a beta feature and available only on the Deluxe tier, extending the platform's visual generation beyond static images for the first time.

Voice is the feature that most matches its own hype. I asked both characters to send voice messages throughout a session, and the audio consistently sounded like an expressive delivery rather than the flat text-to-speech I've heard on cheaper platforms. Pacing and tone shifted appropriately with the content of the message, which is a harder thing to get right than most platforms manage.

I also confirmed the obvious limitation is real: there is no live call option anywhere in the interface, NSFW or otherwise. Voice is exclusively pre-generated messages you request or receive in the flow of chat, not a real-time conversation. If you're coming from a platform with live calling and expecting something similar, temper that expectation.

Taken on its own terms, voice messaging here is genuinely good, arguably the single best-executed feature on the platform. It's a real reason to pick NextPart over a text-and-image-only competitor, even without live calls.

I sent a question to support@nextpart.ai about billing and separately posted in the Discord server. Both channels are genuinely staffed, this isn't a dead inbox or an abandoned server. The Discord in particular had recent activity from both users and what appeared to be platform staff, more than I can say for several platforms in this price range.

What's missing is a proper help center. There's a basic FAQ page covering account basics, but no searchable knowledge base and no ticket system with status tracking. If your question isn't in the FAQ, email or Discord is genuinely your only option, and neither promises a fast turnaround.

Overall this lands in the middle of the pack: better than a platform with only a Discord server or only an email address, but a step behind platforms that combine multiple active channels with real self-serve documentation.

NextPart's pricing sits in two tiers, roughly $9.99 and $19.99 a month, or $83.88 and $155.88 billed yearly. That entry price is genuinely competitive, and the yearly numbers match the discounted rate advertised against the monthly price rather than being a marketing trick.

The real friction point is that you can't try any of it first. There's no free tier, no demo conversation, and no trial period, so you have to create an account and pay before you know whether the chat personality or voice quality will suit you. Crypto payment support helps offset that somewhat for privacy-conscious users, since it's a real, working option rather than a badge with no substance behind it.

Compared to platforms that undercut this price point significantly or that offer a free tier to hook users first, NextPart's pricing is fair but not a standout. It's a reasonable bet once you've decided you want in, not an easy way to test the waters first.
